Listen he's 22 and he fought a guy that most others would just as soon have avoided. Trout is this generation's version of Winky Wright. He's a good challenge but he does not bring anything to the table other than risk. Give the kid credit for taking on this challenge, that most others would have had opted to avoid. People criticize for all the wrong reasons. First it was, Canelo needs to face a real challenge. He does just that and ends up getting criticized for it. Did he look great? No. Is he destined for greatness? Probably not. But can he learn from this and get better? Yes.

Ummm seems to me you must be a ******. Go and read my ****ing comment and look where do i say he sells more than floyd????? The kid is a draw sells alot name me another boxer that sells more than him?? Besides pac and pbf they are the ones that sell more. Canelos is a draw in the usa and all latin america dont hate and stop being a ******. The kid is already as big to say fuxk to pnf. Undercard???! Tell me the kid just made more money doing his own thing than fighting on mayweathers undercard.

As for the argument over whether or not Canelo is a draw, obviously. He's 22 and packed the place. Comparing his numbers to Mayweather's is moronic. First of all, compare them at comparable ages, at 22 Mayweather couldn't sell out his garage.

Well guess what, Canelo also has a mandatory (WBC) with El Oro de Guantanamo...why is he not fighting him? That mandatory is overdue longer.

After El Oro de Guantanamo beats El Perro, what will Canelo excuse be? If he not chasing Money, fight your overdue mandatory in El Oro de Guantanamo.

Lmaol thank you not just 22 if he would of never fought dlh there woukd of never been money mayweather just pbf. Same goes to pac. The mid gets higher ratings than the mexican national team that just shows how big he is

Mayweather wasn't fortunate enough to be born a White Mexican either in a community that economically boxing still has the highest relevancy in.

Having said that Mayweather wins by Unanimous Decision.
Moron, give me a link to an article where Money PROMISED Canelo a fight. You will not be able to do so because you just made it up.

C'mom big guy, find the link...I challenge you....GET ME THE LINK OF A PROMISE TO FIGHT CANELO.

You bedwetter, if Canelo is so interested in fight the best at 154, fight El Oro de Guantanamo who is a career long 154 and his Mandatory for the WBC instead of tryingto fight a 147 lber who have only had TWO fights at 154.

If Floyd-Canelo doesn't happen that day, and he doesn't appear as the co-main event, than he'll be moving.

Right now he is already that big to say **** you to floyd and do his own card. Floyd lost lots of buys by not having canelo on his card he should of promised him between 3 fights they should fight not right away but he didnt want to negotiate so canelo said **** you.
Canelo has never headlined a ppv so you have no idea how much he will sell.

How can you assume he will be bigger than floyd? ODH has 1 ppv over 1.5 mil sold-thats with floyd. Floyd has 2-ODh and Cotto. How can you just assume Canelo will do more than ODH-one of trhe most POPULAR FIGHTERS IN HISTORY!!when he hasnt done 1 yet? come on.

Floyd hasnt foguht ghost yet so you dontknow how many sales he lost. if his numbers are lower it wont be because canelo was off the card. its because lack of promotion and showtime being a smaller network in fewer homes than HBO.

Canelo went out on his own and did very well. But his live gate was less than floyd's with 25k more people. so again, keep it in perspective.

Canelo is a star and the trout fight showed it. But there is no guarantee he can coinsistently get 1 mil plus fans to spend $59.95 and up to see him fight.

Also.....Floyd wasn't handed anything. Canelo has been handed basically everything in his career. If Floyd was an African American with natural blonde hair, maybe he would have been a star right away.
