Listen he's 22 and he fought a guy that most others would just as soon have avoided. Trout is this generation's version of Winky Wright. He's a good challenge but he does not bring anything to the table other than risk. Give the kid credit for taking on this challenge, that most others would have had opted to avoid. People criticize for all the wrong reasons. First it was, Canelo needs to face a real challenge. He does just that and ends up getting criticized for it. Did he look great? No. Is he destined for greatness? Probably not. But can he learn from this and get better? Yes.

As for the argument over whether or not Canelo is a draw, obviously. He's 22 and packed the place. Comparing his numbers to Mayweather's is moronic. First of all, compare them at comparable ages, at 22 Mayweather couldn't sell out his garage.

Having said that Mayweather wins by Unanimous Decision.
C'mom big guy, find the link...I challenge you....GET ME THE LINK OF A PROMISE TO FIGHT CANELO.
You bedwetter, if Canelo is so interested in fight the best at 154, fight El Oro de Guantanamo who is a career long 154 and his Mandatory for the WBC instead of tryingto fight a 147 lber who have only had TWO fights at 154.

How can you assume he will be bigger than floyd? ODH has 1 ppv over 1.5 mil sold-thats with floyd. Floyd has 2-ODh and Cotto. How can you just assume Canelo will do more than ODH-one of trhe most POPULAR FIGHTERS IN HISTORY!!when he hasnt done 1 yet? come on.
Floyd hasnt foguht ghost yet so you dontknow how many sales he lost. if his numbers are lower it wont be because canelo was off the card. its because lack of promotion and showtime being a smaller network in fewer homes than HBO.
Canelo went out on his own and did very well. But his live gate was less than floyd's with 25k more people. so again, keep it in perspective.
Canelo is a star and the trout fight showed it. But there is no guarantee he can coinsistently get 1 mil plus fans to spend $59.95 and up to see him fight.
