Man you gotta be one of the best posters on here. So many of these dudes on this forum I tell ya. As soon as Mayweather and Ward exchanged words, these dudes IMMEDIATELY jumped on the Ward bandwagon. They weren't even fans of him to be honest and I remember countless threads talking about how boring he is and how he clinches so much. They won't make Ward a draw because they aren't truly fans. As much as they complain about Floyd, they STILL watch his PPVs and post countless threads about the guy all day everyday.
They just riding with Ward because he's anti-Mayweather right now. And some of them saying Ward's P4P #1. How? Because he won the Super Six? Some of those are good wins, but not really GREAT wins as we talk about P4P. Really, beating Arthur Abraham makes you P4P? And I like Ward, he's a hell of a fighter, but P4P #1 not yet. He just has momentum on his side, similar to Donaire at one point when people were making a case for him being top 3. Ward still has much to prove and due to the lack of real threats in his divison and one class above, I can't see him being P4P #1. He's in the same situation as the Klitschko's, great fighters but due to the weakness of their division you can't really make an argument for them to be P4P #1, although they've beaten EVERYBODY put in front of them.
Oh and since you pointed out that an African-American athlete has to be humble, watch someone says, "Man don't make it about race." But ain't it though? There's a common thread amongst outspoken African-American Athletes. Not just in boxing but all sports. They just mad because these guys are young, Black, and speaking their mind. They'd rather have them walk around being all subservient. They don't want to admit, but it's quite obvious just by reading some of the garbage these guys post every day.
