Why watch these duckers, coward, cherry pickers (AS YOU CALL THEM)
on PPV you get together with a party for the fight, movies, arena tickets..watching there shows on HBO and SHOWTIME and give them TV ratings.

Does anyone see what I'm getting at here?? You are filled with disgust for Mayweather and Broner type fighters, but you still watch them??

Because it is sad, Dude is Number 2 P4P and alot of fighters are more popular than Ward.
casual fans make fighters into superstars
hardcore fans watch and appreciate good fighters as a whole
you aren't a draw until non diehards start tuning in
you need KO power or a strong personality to reel in casual fans
Ward just wins, he puts in work in the ring, doesn't run his mouth
nothing about the guy is flashy, he's all business w/ few theatrics
that translates to respect/hardcore fanfare, not drawing power

Mayweather and Broner made themselves famous with their mouths. Nobody made them famous, sure they had help, they were put in a position to become popular but you gotta do that yourself once you're in that position.

If you're a good fighter already, you gain popularity two different ways: (1) You promote yourself with your mouth (Mayweather, Broner and a bunch of other fighters) or (2) You are highly exciting in the ring (Tyson who also could fit in promoting himself with his mouth but he was genuine though, Pacquiao).

Andre Ward does neither of these things. He's a good fighter (check), he's in a position to become more popular (check). What does he do? Well unfortunately his style is not exactly Tyson/Pacquiao-esque, and he doesn't exactly have the mouth of Ali/Mayweather/Broner/Tarver/Mayorga to gain attention. Ward is one my favorite fighters in the ring, but when I as a big fan and i'm sure a bunch of you too, see "Andre Ward gets interviewed" I skip out on that because I know how boring the guy is. He is going to speak about god and talk all philosophical. When Mayweather and Broner have an interview, every single one of you is going to have opinion, negative or positive, about what they said.

I could get in to it a little more, but I know a lot of you already know what I mean. The "This ain't the WWE" attitude is why so many boxers aren't popular, they do not promote themselves or say anything worth commenting on.

There's only so many times one can keep entering Andre Ward interview threads and say "Man, the guy is so respectful and humble." "I wish other boxers were like him." And even that, you are just making the post to take a shot at a popular boxer that I will not mention.

Hopkins got to that level by beating De La Hoya and Trinidad, two big names. I think Ward's best bet to get to that level would be Chavez Jr. who is probably the most popular guy from 160-175.

Nah, the top would be Sergio at MW !!! 750K- 1 mil buys. Fight in Vegas. P4P # 2 vs #3 !!!! Huge fight. Next would be Chavez at 168.
