There was a post on here saying he wouldn't get prestige for a Trout win. Are you serious? It'd be for the lineal 154 championship.. Against a guy many think he'd lose against due to size.

If he fought Trout, he'd get so much more respect. Trout would be a huge challenge for him
Which is why the money excuse would come into play for sure.

If canelo beats trout then he should headline a PPV against a good opponent then maybe one more in dec. this way next summer he won't need Floyd and will have a couple big money fights available mainly martinez. Floyd may even come to him cause the money for both would be huge.

Trout isn't headlining any ppv by himself & honestly I don't want him to. I absolutely do not go looking for ppv stars cause then I have to stream them on principle alone.

ah! Jumbled up title. Yeah trout shouldn't headline a PPV. But he needs to build off this win if he does and then also next year maybe think Floyd or Martinez.

Right now he won't get as much as he would if he has a few more wins and fan support.

I do think Floyd will fight him

Cotto & canelo, what more would or could he possibly need. Remember canelo did exceptional numbers fighting a 140lber last time out. When those same people tune in & see Trout give him the business, they'll all then know who he is.

I'm actually highly surprised to see you say this. (Please don't be offended). But what you say is true. He's got buku millions on the table guaranteed, Austin Trout enhances his legacy (if he beats canelo), more than any other fighter not named Martinez. It's for sure a legacy fight if Trout beats canelo.
No offense taken. His Showtime deal changes things no one saw it coming. If they accepted RG they'd damn sure accept Trout as an opponent. No excuse not to really. Hed be getting the same amount of money from Alexander, RG or Trout fights. Maybe even more for a Trout fight if Trout beats Canelo.

Money isn't an excuse because he's fighting Guererro he brings no more money than Trout would.

And if he doesn't fight Trout, he'll fight Alexander who also doesn't being any more money.

So that reasoning is out the window.

boxing, I hate to admit it,is money. More fans more money. If I was him I wouldn't go after Floyd yet. I would build more. Then come away with serious money. Floyd will fight him but not yet.

Preaching to the choir brother. However it's Dunn who needs the convincing.
