Whether he was forced or not doesn't make it a P4P level fight.

It's not a great matchup but at least the guy is an undefeated top 10 MW who should have got the nod against Sturm.

No, he shouldn't. I'm sick of seeing people saying this.

          Sturm clearly won the fight.

Yes, Murray did better than everyone expecting but he was very lucky to get a draw.

All media, even British Media, outside of people associated with Hatton Promotions had Sturm winning the fight, because, he did.

I wasn't around in these forums during the Dzinziruk fight, but just skimming through some of the Martinez v. Dzinziruk articles I found this:

The theater holds like 4000 people or something so all the seats are pretty close

And yes my tickets do not have a section or seat # either
Here's what other people were saying at the time too...

And that win against Santos was pretty good because it was prime Santos just coming off whooping Margarito. He also has Joel Julio who was on a 7-fight 2 year win streak after his loss to Quintana, Dzinziruk stopped that win streak and Julio hasn't been the same since that loss. Serhiy ruins fighters, he's the Ukrainian Bernard Hopkins. But I think he's met his match with Martinez but it won't be a walk in the park for Martinez, Dzinziruk is very capable of an upset.

None of the experts thought Martinez would stop Dzinziruk and all of them thought it would be a tough fight.

BoxingScene.com has sought the opinion of nine boxing insiders as to their thoughts on who will win Saturday night's Lou DiBella Entertainment, HBO televised clash between former WBC middleweight Sergio Martinez (46-2-2, 25 knockouts) and WBO junior middleweight champion Sergei Dzinziruk (37-0, 23 KOs) in a clash of southpaws.

Martinez was also obliged by HBO to fight Dzinziruk or else he would lose his HBO date. Martinez originally wanted to fight Zbik, his mandatory.

BoxingScene.com was advised that HBO has given Sergio Martinez (26-2, 25KOs) no alternatives for his televised return on March 12. The network has advised Martinez to fight unbeaten WBO 154-pound champion Sergei Dzinziruk (37-0, 23KOs). If Martinez is unable to finalize an agreement with Dzinziruk, the WBC middleweight champion will lose his reserved date on the network.

Who's going to begrudge Sergio his homecoming?

Your opinion is just that (an opinion) so stfu. I'm not saying Murray won, but the fight result was a draw if you disagree then good for you, but don't act like your opinion is above anyone else's just by default.

                    He clearly lost the fight.

When all of the British media have you losing the fight, then he lost the fight.

That's the second time Sturm has been shafted in his country and lost a close decision to Geale too.

I hope they know to bring tons of groceries because once he starts eating food where he's going he's DONE!! This fight is awfull, how does this kid qualify to fight for a title? His best fight was a DRAW! Another club fighter from Britian whose probably to tuff for his own good! Ray.
