So what if he beat Gatti. Well if he had to beat Gatti it just tells you much on the division. I don't have to be an Oscar fan to tell you his resume ****s all over Floyd's. I can be an Oscar hater and I'd still see it.

Beating Manfredy isn't something special on your resume. **** I'd favor one of the cops Roy fought over that dude. Maybe even Paez in Oscar's 12th fight. Nothing to brag about.
Than if we take off Manfredy, who was the #2 fighter there at the time coming off beating a good fighter at the time in Gatti. Not a great win, but it was solid at the time, like several of Oscar's wins.

Floyd beating Mosley, #3 P4P/Top 2 WW/WBA WW champ, he beat an old shot fighter, crappy win. Floyd beating Ortiz or now Guerrero, both Top 2-3 WW, crappy win against crappy fighters. Floyd beating Manfredy/Chavez, both top 5 fighters at the weights fought at, ehhhh not good wins.

That's how this conversation is going....
True about Floyd, but that's why I say it's easy to argue for him. He gets badly underrated, all you gotta say is where the fighters he fought were at the time.

I've actually seen people mention Corley as a notable win for Cotto, Matthysse, but no where to be seen when talking about Floyd's resume, who beat a prime Corley.

Ranking aside, do you honestly think Baldomir is a better fighter than that version of Camacho? How about Ortiz? Looks like he would be, but he has a long track record of failure against his peers. Camacho only failed against the very best.

No issues with the Mosley win, there was a degree of risk coming in.

Not only did he beat Corley he beat the brakes off Corley, a Corley who just had a very close ugly fight with a young Judah when Judah was considered a killer.

How you win also counts~ which never really gets discussed. Floyd has 1 close fight, which he erased any doubt about. The guys Floyd has fought weren't chumps and he handled them with ease, Floyd has fought enough quality that he should have got in more close fights if he wasn't impressive.

Floyd and Pac are my two current favorite fighters but if you look at their resumes closely, it's not that black and white. Pac getting knocked out by a guy Floyd dominated hurts his resume. They both beat Cotto, Pac beat a fresher version but it was at a catchweight while Floyd fought Cotto at the official weight, Pac has the edge because he stopped him. Floyd's win over Mosley > Pac's win over Mosley, Floyd's win over Hatton > Pac's win over Hatton (yes Pac beat Hatton at 140 but Hatton was never the same after Floyd KO'd him). The Oscar comparison is tricky, on paper Pac jumping up two weightclasses to stop Oscar is incredible but if you look at Oscar's condition, he was weightdrained and didn't even rehydrate, he was actually the lighter man on fight night! Floyd beat a younger, healthier and bigger Oscar and he was the smaller man on fight night. Pac lost to post-prime Morales the first time then beat him when he was even more past his prime. The victory over Barrera is great, can't criticize it, that win probably gives him the slight edge over Floyd.

Pac beating all those guys was unthinkable before DLH

Whitiker and Holyfield are obviously the best after that it is very murky.

B-Hop, Manny, Jones, Tito and Floyd are all essentially even pick and choose what you like and put them in any order. Lewis I would put just behind that group.

Tyson has a solid career but look at his career post 87 it isn't that great, although 88 was a real fine year for him.
