i've never heard of this so called old injury that sergio says he's had....i hope it doesn't bother him too much, if he got surgery because of it getting worse, that doesn't sound very good...even with surgery, those big time injuries never heal 100%...good thing its late in his career and he only has a few more fights left

The ONLY reason Chavez jr is even considered for a rematch is because of his name. If he was anybody else that fought Sergio, had their ass handed to them, they would be an afterthought, period.

His name gives him privileges other fighters dont get.

I will wait for the answer....People talk about GGG or Kid Chocolate but do these guys have a better resume than the last 3 or 4 undefeated guys Martinez fought? When facing an undefeated fighter you are getting an unknown package, they are only bums if Martinez whips them. Mayweather talks about "Money" being the only reason he makes a fight. It's all about the money! Why not take fights that make him the most money, Pac, Conello, Martinez.... (Gurrero? lol) He doesnt live up to his name "Money"

That is just his problem he only has 2 or 3 fights left and he wants to make the most he can in those fight, plus their no one worthy even of a fight for Martinez. So what should he do? fight quillen who will bring in 0 money or GGG who also will bring in 0 money and both arent ready for martinez or does he rematch Chavez for another career high payday? he can always fight quillen or GGG after chavez.

He has to fight him because it's the only payday he can get. Cotto, Canelo and Floyd have been ducking him for several years now, he won't land a fight with them.

Chavez's fans want revenge. Jr wants his revenge. Sergio wants to avenge that knockdown and give him another beating because of that and stop him.
