Why not Kid Chocolate?? And GGG?? Their in his division undefeated... And young with a long amateur career!! So it is ok for him to fight smaller fighters at 154?? But it is a problem if he has to move up to 168??
Listen to how dumb you soundComment

So is Sergio to chicken to move up in weight to fight Ward?? Or even move up 4 pounds at 164 and ask for a catch weight?? Cause Ward is #2 in the world by many experts of the sport. So is Sergio scared of Ward by not trying to catch weight him?Comment

Sergio used Chavez JRs face as a personal punching bag for 11 rounds straight. Chavez had zero head movement, zero ring generalship, zero outside game, and just got flat out schooled. It took a couple of lucky power punches on a burned out Sergio (who already threw a million punches) to knock him down. Even after that, Sergio didnt run and hide, he engaged the much larger Chavez to the end and won convincingly.
So no, Chavez doesnt deserve a rematch. Maybe he should concentrate on being a spoiled brat, not taking his boxing career seriously, and fighting nobodies to pad his record.
His dad is an all time great and an example of a real fighter, jr is a joke, even all my Mexican friends hate his ass.Comment

If you're Martinez how do you not take this fight?? You whooped the dude's @ss the first time around, and now he gets to do it again, maybe on his terms, probably making more money.
As far as fighting top contenders, Martinez will make the same amount of money fighting anyone NOT named Cotto, Mayweather, Alvarez, Ward, Chavez.
So for a guy who is obviously on his way out, why take the risk? He made it in boxing the hard way in his career, no amateur background, no big time promoter, suffering a tough loss early on and then having to fight his way back into title contention as an overlooked, meaningless commidity.
Not many people go out in their last year in the sport looking to prove anything to anyone anymore, especially nowadays.Comment

You say he weighs 165 on fight night?? What is closer 154 or 168 when you fight?? Idc about the weigh in shyt... Because Ward is not known for ballooning up on fight night like Chavez Jr is period. So people saying he should fight 154 and give them **** for not fighting Martinez, the same could be said for him not calling out Ward who is the 2nd best in the world.http://www.maxboxing.com/news/free-a...llin-fights-on
Quillin has already turned down a fight with Martinez
remember when Quillin was calling out Martinez in public? well in private he turned down a fight.
Mayweather won't fight Martinez at 154 or even 150, doesn't want to risk the zero.
GGG would fight Martinez but who has GGG beat as a pro? what has he done. say something when he beat a top 10 middleweight. he's fight a journeyman junior middleweight when actual middleweights are calling him out.
Martinez wants to go back to 154 not up. he weighs 165 on fight night. people act like he's a giant but he isn't. yeah so he's suposed to go to 168 because everybody with a name is afraid of him at 154 and 160.
Canelo doesn't want Martinez. yeah we all know Canelo was calling him out publicly but Golden Boy made NO offer to DiBella or Samson. it was just BS from Canelo.
Chavez jr is the only big fight out there for him. i don't like it but if these so called stars grew a pair then maybe we'd see something better.
Here is why he hasn't called out Ward: One Ward is smarter in the ring, Ward would not get bullied around, he has better defense, much more technical as a fighter, he knows how to fight on the inside, and outside, he is probably just as fast as Martinez, and is he is young and disciplined.
So you mean to tell me if Mayweather was like "For my next I am moving up to 168 and anybody can get it including Sergio." Would Sergio say "Floyd is too big?" Or would he fight him like we all know he would. So if he would fight Chavez jr, who is known to weigh atleast around 180 plus on fight night, he can face Ward who weighs less than that.
I am not taking anything away from Sergio because he is easily #3 on the list of top fighters, but all I am saying that if he can fight one class below his weight, than he can fight one class above his weight. So don't call the cats in his class or below his class scared, when he makes no mention of the #2 fighter one above his class.Comment
