You're right, it isn't. But it is their fault they have split the competition like a tag team. How often on here do we hear nuthuggers say "Wlad already beat him" or "Vitaly already beat him" So (insert name) doesn't deserve a shot. Hell in this thread alone its already been talked about with Haye. "Wlad already embarrassed him, so why should Vitaly fight him?". I'll tell you why.....because they're not the same entity. One is a champion, the other a contender. They represent each other in name only, not for who does or doesn't get the right to fight the other.

Your case? Understand, you've been arguing about something I never said. I never defended his resume so why are you trying to pretend I did? I'm not a real Vitali fan but I admire the way he has absolutely crushed B-level guys, even late in his career. Something glorious about an older dude kicking ass and giving out serve beatings. Its a shame that most HWs today are B-level but Haye fits right in with that pack.

My case? You said Klit has nothing to prove to anyone. He has everything to prove as his resume is woeful. You yourself said that his resume is poor. That's my case closed.

Peter wasn't even a threat either, the guy got absolutely schooled after his fight with Wlad by Toney in their 1st fight. Went on to get dropped by McCline 4x, even getting rocked by a guy like Maskaev before fighting Vitali.

Peter beat Toney twice. Rahman, who beat Lennox Lewis, had 2 fights against Toney and beat him in neither.

Let's be real for a second. Legacies are not based solely on resumes, they are also based on dominance. Floyd Mayweather's legacy will always be tarnished for not fighting Manny Pacquiao, but the same cannot be said about Vitali Klitschko.

He fought the best available, but sadly he didn't have the quality opponents that Floyd had. Does anyone honestly believe that he would have ducked other ATG fighters? Truth is, that he doesn't have a resume full of great fighters - because they weren't there to be fought. What he does have though, is a long string of pure annihilation to back up his case. He also has a fight where he was decisively, clearly beating Lennox Lewis. Despite the controversial outcome, Vitali had one of the worst cuts in boxing history and was still winning the fight.

You can't give Vitali credit for beating a string of ATG fighters, but you also can't dismiss what he has accomplished - dominating the hell out of the division aside from his brother.

Vitali hasn't fought the best available though. The quality of fighters he has fought is very poor, and he hasn't dominated the division.

I like Vitali a lot, and think highly of him, but you can't just give him credit for things he didn't do.
