I'm not one of those people who talks about whether someone "deserves" to fight someone else - for me, the question is simple. Would I like to see the fight or not?

Haye vs Vitali. Yes, I would.

But David Haye is just one of those individuals I take exception to - whenever he has fought in the last few years, the feeling I'm left with is of disappointment, emptiness and irritation.

The guy is a scam artist. He's in a fake retirement, calling out a declining 41 year old who he didn't want to touch a few years ago. And to top if off, refuses to fight anyone else.

It's just not worth it with this guy. And I say this as someone who was a fan of his during his CW days.
It sounds like you're extremely conflicted Bro.

On one hand you want to see the fight, however you hate Haye and his shenanigans.

The bottom line to all this is simple. Haye is quick and brings considerable power. Klit is quaking in his little Christmas boots right now at the thought of getting beat by him. Klit needs to make a final decision and fight Haye or risk becoming a complete laughing stock when you consider the quality of his opponents.

Because Haye's resume is loaded with all the names of who is who in HW boxing right?

No matter how mediocre Vitali's resume is.. It's still head and shoulders above David Haye's

Only because he's fought his whole career at heavyweight my friend. In Hayes short time in the division his resume is pretty much on Par with Vittles during that time. Neither has fought a murderers row and both are ranked highly.....which is why this fight makes sense.

And for the record, I still think Vitaly beats him.

At any given time.. in any division.. There are roughly 3-8 fighters who stand above the 100's of others in their weight class. By the time you get number 10 in the top 10 it's looking pretty grim.
You rise above by beating the average joe's.
Haye's CW days are hallmarked by beating mediocre fighters as is his HW resume.
My point is not to claim one is resume is better than the other, but rather that for one guy to insult the resume of another is fallacy.

Like I said earlier in the thread. Yes, Haye's resume is as poor as Klit's, that's not in question. The point is that the Klit Lemmings still cry that Klit's an ATG whereas you never hear Haye fans lauding Haye as a great.

Man that's dense... Why are you trying to argue his resume with me? I know you might not understand this, but boxing is a job for these guys. They are not the comic book characters you think they are and a fighter does not get to the end of his highly successful career and say, "I must prove myself by improving my resume." And beating David "runaway" Haye certainly won't do anything for his resume. Your problem is that the basis for your argument is Vitali hate, which is why you keep getting clowned. Come up with a solid point and stick to it. And, quit fabricating things that people didn't say, it's the weakest debate tactic.

No? But why then do Haye fans insist that until Vitali fights Haye his legacy is lessened?
Here is the argument from Haye's fans.. Vitali needs Haye in order to be considered great.. And Haye will be considered great if he beats Vitali.
So while Haye fans diss Vitali.. They will laud their man as great if he beats Vitali.
This certainly proves who needs who.
It's like Vitali is not great unless Haye beats him.. Then suddenly Haye beating him becomes remarkable.
                It defies logic.

I hope they fight.. But let's face it.. Vitali is 41 and Haye has many other options to cement his own legacy. Fury, Helenius and Povetkin might prove more than beating up a man obviously a step or two behind his prime.

                Here is logic..
Haye should say.. Vitali is the man.. He has beaten a Who's who is HW boxing.. By beating him I will be great.

When he calls his resume poor.. How does this make Haye look good if he beats him? He gets to say I beat a Guy who is mediocre. If he shows some respect.. He gets to say I beat a guy who is great.. And if he loses .. He can say he lost to great fighter rather losing to a mediocre fighter. Which does more for his legacy?

Vitali's resume is much much weaker than his ability and h2h rating.

WTF???? Are you being thick or something?? Explain when I've been clowned??

YOU said Klit doesn't need to prove himself to anyone. His resume is utterly DREADFUL and you admit to that. In that case, he will go down as a basic fighter who fought fat bums for a living, NOT as an ATG fighter.

He won't 'prove' himself by fighting, beating or koing haye. haye will retire after that fight (if ever happens) and he'll remain pretty much noone in HW.

shame as i think haye is a great fighter.
