Floyd didn't match up well with Margarito or Williams for that matter

Don't blame him.... But it is what it is
I completely agree Floyd could be blamed for Margarito not happening, probably due to him targeting Mosley and De La Hoya at the time, and not doing business with Arum. But Floyd could take blame for Margarito not happening.

Williams, I don't believe that "duck". He didn't get a legit win until Summer 07' against Margarito, than Floyd fought #8 P4P and unbeaten Hatton, someone else he was supposedly ducking. Than Williams proceeded to lose to Quintana. There was no duck there in my opinion.

This isn't a Margarito vs Guerrero thread. I still want someone to tell me prior to 2006 how were Diaz, Lewis, and Cintron more proven or so much better wins at 147 than Aydin and Berto???
Prior to '06 Margarito was still a top WW for a number of yrs and the #1 WW behind the champ in 04 and 05>Robert Guerrero being the #3 WW for a few months

I can agree with that, but his wins still weren't over so much more proven fighters at the time.

Sometimes hype also plays a part, Margarito was hyped but he was also the longest serving champ at the time, Some believe his pressure and size would be a worthy challenge for the smaller Mayweather and to be honest I agree with that sentiment, am not claiming he would beat Mayweather but I think his size would have troubled a moving Mayweather, I don't think Williams was close to anything related to Mayweather, Mayweather retired in 2007 after the Hatton fight and Williams was still making steps to be a known name around that time.

              I'm loving these threads lately

Guerrero beats a Berto that was coming off a 15 month lay-off and already exposed as a hypejob against Ortiz and know Guerreros some worldbeater that "deserves" a Floyd fight this is great. Keep the threads coming.
this thread isnt saying Guerrero would beat Marg..I believe Marg>>Guerrero in terms of who wins..this is about their resumes at the point in time a Floyd fight was propositioned..and in that case..they are equal. (at the times)

TS..you wont get an answer..ppl will just keep saying Marg was a better WW, stronger, bigger..etc..they wont address your point, cause its a solid statement and it cant be refuted because the resume speaks for itself!

Guerrero the most legit fight Floyd could take right now, who else is there??? Canelo "I haven't done jack s**t" Alvarez??? Let him get a good win first.

What had Diaz, Lewis, and Cintron done at 147 prior to 2006 that was sp much better than what Aydin and Berto had done prior to fighting Guerrero???

You're in the minority here man. I usually agree with you but you're way off on this one.

Oh and there were plenty of other options. Floyd's the 154lb champ right? He could have fought Alvarez, Trout, Bundrage, Molina, Lara, I'm sure Sergio would have came down to 154 if floyd wanted the fight. All those guy's beat Guerrero too.

Floyd's obviously taking the easiest fight here.

You say Floyd shouldn't fight Guerrero.....than proceed to mention Lara, Bundrage, and Molina as opponents.......wow

Trout would be a good fight, but absolutely no one in the world is calling for that fight, not even Trout himself. Alvarez needs to actually beat a legit good fighter at 154 first, than we can talk.

What had Diaz, Lewis, and Cintron done at the time Margarito beat them, to be considered such better wins than Aydin and Berto in 2012????
