Did I say that? I said that HW come in all shapes and sizes. Meaning that the Klit's are p4p because the have no choice but to fight at HW and HW's come in all shapes in sizes already anyway. Ward has choices. He can fight in at least 2 or 3 different weight classes..so until he does he's not p4p top 3 just yet
Doesn't matter what you said the point is if a fighter dominates at one division he should be eligible for a P4P ranking especially if he beats all challenges not political wins but legit top challenges. I would much rather see a Hagler than all the BS division jumping. Hagler was a gate keeper like Andre is right now.Comment

Pacquiao has won titles in what over 8 different weight classes? There is no way in the world Ward surpasses him nor Floyd, not even Sergio... p4p is pound for pound. not 168 pound.. Now say Ward moves up to 175 and loses? Is he p4p then? Absolutely NOT! Thats why I'll wait before crowning him...Most people tend to view P4P as a way of determining who would be the best fighter in a weight indifferent world. Accomplishment tends to weigh heavyily when forming my personal list. And while moving up or down in weight certainly helps, it isn't a requirement for a guy to make my list.
As for Ward's place on the list, I think a case can be made for him being #1. He cleaned out the super middleweight division. And tonight he totally dismantled and destroyed a fringe P4P guy. Personally, I wouldn't put him ahead of Mayweather simply because Mayweather has been dominent for a heckuva lot longer. That said, Mayweather hasn't fought twice in a year since 2007. So either is fine with me. And if one thinks Pac genuinely beat Bradley and JMM in his last two fights, no one in boxing has a better two wins in their last two fights than that guy. So its very much a toss up. IMO, the only thing that changed tonight is that for the first time in at least five years, someone named Mayweather or Pacquaio has a legitimate claim to the top spot.Comment

What is silly is your logic that only fighters who fight at different weight classes can be ranked in the P4P debate. The P4P ratings were created during the Sugar Ray Robinson era to compare his skills to other fighters fighting at much higher weights. It is a way of comparing fighters who fight in different weight categories. You are right about Ward fighting anywhere from 162 to 178. That doesn't have a damn thing to do with being a top P4P fighter. To say that Ward is not a P4P fighter because he didn't move up to 175 to fight Dawson is as asinine as saying the Klitschkos are not great fighters because there are no heayweights fighting today who are capable of beating them.

I agree with you. I think Chavez Jr. will eventually move to 168 regardless of whether he beats Martinez simply because he is too undisciplined to continue to make 160. However, when he does move up, Arum will not allow him to go anywhere near Ward just as he kept Chavez Jr. away from Martinez for two years.Comment

Yup unless they are heavyweight fighters. Those that can't clean out their division or fight in more than one weight class are not p4p. Ward hasn't beatin Dirrell or anything, In fact Ward hasn't even fought anyone as athletically gifted as him yet...What is silly is your logic that only fighters who fight at different weight classes can be ranked in the P4P debate.
