Don't understand why fighters compromise their legs, chin and stamina.....is it really worth the 600k he got? He'd have been better off making the fight at 75 and getting 300k instead as a sweetener to get Ward to move up.

I agree! There would be no way that I would have sacrificed myself to come down in weight. In all honestly they could have met at 172, which would have been better for both fighters considering its a halfway point between the two divisions. Or either 171. Dawson, IMO would have been better suited to fight at 175 where he's more capable of taking punches. He sacrificed and he paid the price. I commend him on his willingness to drop in weight and fight the top of the division though, I still say at 175 we see a different fighter, higher workrate, better chin and better stamina.

Ward is great, definitely the future of marquee names in boxing.

That said I would like to see a rematch at 175 lbs for Dawson's title.

I still think Ward beats Dawson- but the guy that showed up on Saturday wasn't Dawson. Props to Dawson for giving Ward full credit, but anyone who knows anything saw the weight drain become an issue.

I still think Ward wins at 175 in a much, much better fight.

I called Ward winning and making it look easy, but I did not expect a TKO. Bravo, Andre. You are in my top 3 P4P without a doubt.
