Ward could of just as easily went up to 175. Then that would be saying something. Guys acting like Ward came up from 154 or something, he fighting at the same weight he always fights at middleweight, thats not p4p. Pacquiao and Floyd came from featherweight all the way up to 154 to win titles, thats p4p! Is Ward great? Yes! Is he top 3 p4p? No..

Doesn't matter. Ward beat everybody in or around 168 that would fight him. This was a win over the best @ 175!!! Truth of the matter is there isn't anyone else out there for him to face.

If Martinez wins next week, Ward should drop down to 160 to challenge him for the middleweight title. And the fight should be in Argentina.

kessler, abraham, froch are known for there great chins
You would have a great point, "IF" Dawson hadn't faced punchers like Tarver, Diaconu, Adamek or Johnson and withstood them. Ward isn't a puncher, he's really not all that accurate. He has really good timing and he interrupts his opponents rhythm, but he's not lightning fast. Dirrell is probably the fastest SMW right now. Dawson is known for a high work rate, dude didn't have the strength to really throw any punches. Plus his punch resistance was horrible in this fight. If you wanna see a fight similar, take a peep at Chris Byrd vs Shaun George and see the affects of a boxer coming down in weight. Doesn't matter how you feel "before" you get in the ring, what matters is how you feel when you're actually in it. Byrd fought at Heavyweight and couldn't take the punches of a light heavy who wasn't a known puncher. Same as Dawson who wasn't able to take punches from Ward who isn't known as a puncher.

Andre Ward just destroyed Chad! I was watchin the Matthssye Ajose fight so I missed the first KD and caught him dazed in the corner after that. I didn't expect the fight to be on yet but bum Molina got stopped in 55 secs. I was impressed by Ward's total domination from round 3 on he completely shut down anything Chad wanted to do and even when Chad landed that big shot here & there it did absolutely nothing to effect the determined ward. Big props to Ward he is P4P top 3 if not the best in the game no doubt.

Let's not forget that Ward won Olympic gold at the 178lb amateur light heavyweight limit. It really made no sense for this fight not to be at 175. But whatever. Dawson said he would make 168, did, and probably cost himself any legitimate chance of winning the fight because of it.

Ward looked great and he is a beast. As far as Chad is concerned it looks as if he spent the last four years beating up on senior citizens or something?

P4P is the ability to move up or down in weight an perform at a high level. Ward has never done that. He has never even attempted to do that, as of yet. There no talent at 168. He didn't move up and fight Chad at 175. Chad was the one trying to be p4p, not Ward. Ward doesn't skip over Pacquiao or Mayweather then guys have fought in over 7 weight classes! Thats what p4p is! and Sergio is still holding down the 3rd slot.. I need to see Ward at 175 first..

Chris byrd dropped like 40 pounds in about 7 or 8 months, dawson dropped 7 pounds, dont compare the two.
