He lost to Randolph Turpin & didn't exactly sparkle in the rematch, Randolph Turpin with all due respect was average at best but apparently because he beat Sugar Ray, he was amazeballs!
Oh and don't forget folks, he won so this means Sugar Ray was passed his prime lol

Same with Gene Fullmer - Robinson was shot.

He beat Jake LaMotta about 12 times, why did he fight him 10 times or more? That is the modern day equivalent to Wlad rematching Tony Thompson another 10 times!

Holly Mims - 20-8-4 record against bums and he was a beast?

Robinsons resume is almost laughable. The only thing remotely impressive the guy did was beat a faded Henry Armstrong
    Wow.......just.....jesus

Why didn't everyone else have his Ko ratio?

Greatest fighter of all the time.

Not the most talented or the strongest or the fastest.

              But the greatest.

Let me guess those that fought in black & white all had granite chins?

Most of these old timers have poor K.O ratios which is strange given the fact they fought in 6oz gloves...

They had rubbish power due to poor balance & bad technique. A buildings only as strong as its foundation. Look at Sugar Rays right hook for Christ sake, what is the first thing that came to mind? I know I instantly tried ducking it thinking my missus was about to slap me with her handbag.

It wasn't until the 60s they discovered finishing up a combination with a left hook ffs

Comparing these pioneers to todays fighters is like comparing a 1920s Morris to a Ferrari of today.

We'll just hide the fact that most of those losses were accrued during the end of his career and that he went over 120 fights with just a single loss.

Sounds kind of like the arguments I hear for Pacquiao's losses "he wasn't in his prime yet". It's different though because he's modern and fights in color huh? Does anyone argue that the Lamotta loss was Ray past his prime? No, so that excuse goes out of the window. Again how many fights over 100 was He against Turpin? This isn't to say that Robinson wasn't still good, just not at his best.

Robinson's Resume features at least 5 hall of famers not including AArmstrong.

I was just writing about what i saw on the footage he was a great fighter no doubt but i'd say there is a fair share of fighters who would of beat him its not his fault that his opposition wasnt on the same level as him

ESPN has a nice SRR collection. I've seen all of the one's they've shown on TV plus some additional online footage.
