I know what you were saying, I was saying it mainly for the people who think Silva would fair well. It's not some hypothetical debate with him, it happened and it didn't work out.

Could Silva make 175? I doubt it, and at 200 he would be too small. Silva already lost a boxing fight.

Stamina is a big issue. MMA fighters throw less punches in 5 mins than an average boxer does in 3 rounds. Can they go 12.
I heard Anderson lost a match before but we're talking about potential too

          chin, conditioning, and great reach.
          and the pace

they would be tough gatekeeper types.

How would you know that? I'd say Dos Santos is more talented than Povetkin for instance but just needs the training

Like Silva looking like Ali against Forrest Griffin....Forrest Griffin is AWFUL and extremely SLOW, same with JDS in the Heavyweight Division, none of those guys can Box besides him
I get you but let's also consider that they'd focus on Boxing

Cw and Hw are the two weakest divisions in boxing imo, anything below that would be far too difficult.

I'm not sure about hunt, he fought a much smaller japanese CW d level boxer in mma and had a very very difficult time landing, he's very slow, his power also looked very unimpressive.
Fedor and Hunt could have done good, I heard Tua him up beat in sparring but I don't know if it's true

Fair enough but, to try to put a wrap to any misunderstanding, I will say this. It's ridiculous to think any MMA fighter, even a champion like Jon Jones or JDS, could challenge Wladimir Klitschko for the title and win. They would be entering Wladimir's world and they would be dominated, perhaps brutally knocked out in a few rounds. On the other hand, if Wladimir went and challenged Jon Jones in MMA, chances are than Jones takes him down and submits him easily. These are different combat sports and the comparisons and debates are just not necessary. To put it in a simple way, to each its own. To me, both are great sports.

It's not that simple, to be successful in Boxing is generally more difficult. Dos Santos only started training when he was 21 in BJJ and started training in Boxing when he was 22 but with his great talent along with his excellent work ethic he is already the UFC Heavyweight Champion

Why not Anderson? Just asking because I see different opinions. Aldo and Dos Santos have the physical and mental attributes to be successful in Boxing
