Well, it does allow you to evaluate his boxing skills, so I don't see why you wouldn't.

I'm a Fan of Fedor and Dos Santos, but if you're saying who is a better Boxer by the videos you showed I don't agree. Also consider that the Dos Santos video was from a while ago he has improved since then

That isn't what I was saying. What I am saying though is that videos of sparring allows us to evaluate guys' boxing skills. It wasn't a question of saying who's the better boxer between Fedor and JDS, it was a case of "we have here some sparring footage, lets have a look."

Obviously, to determine who is better they'd have to fight. I did give my evaluation of JDS, but that's what the videos are there for. I'd be interested in hearing other peoples' opinions on either or both of the videos as well.

That's fine I wasn't sure what you were implying actually I just wanted to see, I thought maybe your reasons would have been something like what you said, also you're right we are here to discuss things.

Dos Santos vs Overeem should happen

Potential? What does that mean? Silva tried and failed there's nothing else to it. And yeah, sparring sessions do show us a lot about how they'll do in boxing. They clearly show they aren't able to hold the pace with boxers. There has not been one example of an MMA fighter being able to match a half decent pro boxer.

JDS and that's it. (HW division is crap)

Everyone else gets murked like Silva did.

I'm saying once again, Kharitonov is the obvious choice.

Why? Because he was a world class amateur boxer before he became an MMA fighter.

Especially if we are talking about potential.

I know he has plodding footwork, but he fights with a Russian style of boxing. And as has been mentioned, the HW division is sh it.

I'm kind of glad Sergei Kharitonov was mentioned.

JDS has good boxing for MMA IMO. Not sure how he'd do in boxing.

Heard JDS was unbeaten in 21 kickboxing matches though. 21 KO's too. Not sure if that's true but that's what I heard.

I wouldn't doubt too much that it's true, but I'm sure against no-name competition in Brazil.
