Well I agree to a certain extent but there are variables you have to take into account. There are obviously a lot less fighters in the UFC than there are in professional boxing. So of course fighters will meet each other in the ring quicker and fight one another more. Also most importantly, there is ONE guy/organization that basically controls the entire UFC. So of course things get done quicker and easier. Boxing is a global sport with a ton of sanctioning organizations across various countries. UFC is basically an american sport and as I said under the control of one guy. So yes that works into their favor, but it also is a negative. In the UFC the same *******s keep fighting each other over and over again. Jesus man how many times have Ortiz/Liddell/Franklin/Belfort/Henderson/Silva, etc. all fought each other? UFC is what it is and they can keep their sport, but it is just not entertaining to me. I watch boxing and muay thai, both of which I truly love. Two sports with a rich history, not some made up bull**** sport for bloodlusting rednecks and teenagers to scream and watch.
ill give the UFC one thing without a doubt.

That's what we call a stereotype. You know what they say about our sport, right? They say only "Mexicans and old people watch boxing."
Stop with the silliness.
And how is UFC only an American sport? The fighters are mostly all foreigners. They sold out in Japan, they sold out in Brazil, and many more places outside of America.Comment

Kind of not really... because then you have promoters and sanctioning bodies and all these other things get in the way.
Look at the WBO, they tried to prevent Pirog vs GG from happening and the WBC was going to strip Canelo for wanting to fight Trout.
WTF?
Doesn't that fulfill the fighters who say put the best in front of me too?Comment

Im ****** as fuck? You gotta be kidding me.
The topic was about Vegas shows. I give you a link to the Nevada athletic commission website showing direct stats for Vegas shows. Then you say I'm ****** as fuck and throw a wiki link at me? Have you ever been to college. Anyone who has or written a meaningful paper would laugh at you.
Now to the point, I don't doubt the stats in the wiki page are correct, but when talking about Vegas shows Boxing killed MMA. You gave me a link to every MMA event ever, outside and inside Vegas. Do you know how many shows in boxing would trump the highest MMA event you idiot? For ****s sake Mexico city has had a fight with over 100k people.
Like I've already said twice. MMA fans are all kids who think they know it all.Comment

To be clear this is for Vegas shows. You know. The topic you were discussing. If you want to switch to world wide I have nothing better to do today and I will show you how much bigger events have been for boxing.
You know **** all what you are talking about. I jsut said this in the post above. Kid mma fans who act like they know it all.. I hate your fan base so much.

Where the fuck is your proof? I just showed you otherwise with legitimate sources. No one is insecure, but the fact you are spouting off BS lies irritates people.
NBC sports fights? Are you kidding. Hardly anyone has that channel. Fox is a network channel. Don't mix up NBC sports with the actual NBC. Not to mention the actual numbers for UFC on fox aren't good. The first UFC on Fox was decent, and numbers have plummeted since then. UFC on Fox 3 was one of the worst rated sporting events on FOX EVER.
Fox is in 110-130 million homes and UFC on fox 3 drew 2.2 million viewers. Chavez Jr just drew that on HBO which is in only 26 million homes.Comment
