Bodybuilding and training fellow bodybuilders is what I do for a living. Now, there are absolutely people who weight 150lbs and can deadlift 300+. Those people though are using straps and/or chalk, have worked up to those numbers over years and again, lifting is what they do.
Amir Khan though, a guy who has just really started adding power lifts since working with his new trainer, I'm not believing that he's deadlifting 405. Just no.

thats what im tellin you, i didnt even do them regularly, my normal back routine was pullups, (wide/close) lat pull downs, low pully rows, maybe some kneeling rows and back extensions., I just joined in with some of the older guys doing it one day and realised i was a natural, a BEAST, a SUPREME beingso ye after that day i started doing them, but i was probably a gym goer for about 1 year first time i did it.

Khan has always looked top heavy to me, even now, but he's certainly got a bit more balance these days. Still, Ariza wasn't one for heavy weight training so deadlifts would appear to be completely new to Khan in these last few weeks. You don't go from nothing to 405 in weeks, or even months.Comment
