Its common sense bro...a guy who starts curling, and works his way up to curling 65lbs on each arm, will KO You with one punch...Curling will make u big, strong, and slow.....but THAT Plus, some boxing speed excercises, will even it out...ANYONE with common sense, knows Weight lifting, will increase every aspect of ur power...it will make u stronger at wrestling, manhandling, It will make u stronger at ANYTHING U do, involving your arms, esPECIALLY Punching...You sound like one of those old boxing guys, who say, "You punch with ur hip"...this is true, u punch with ur hip, but ur bicep is closer to ur fist than ur hip is....if u could curl 65lbs, you would KILL Someone if u hit them in their temple...Ortiz was NEVER a puncher as a kid in the ams....he started lifting crazy weight, as he got in the pros, thats why he had prollems making weight....cuz he was gaining muscle weight, and not increasing his power the right way, but he got strong as hell...all he does is lift, and do crazy athletical stuff
There are plenty of weightlifters who can lift massive amounts of weight who couldn't hurt you with a clean shot, and plenty of scrawny guys who couldn't lift their own bodyweight who can KO a rhinoceros.Comment

I think power cleans would be a better workout. Focuses more on explosiveness. That and box jumps to me are more to condusive to boxing.
Dead lifts and lunges always killed my lower back. Just don't feel safe. Even with great technique.Comment
