He wasn't always the most talented but he fought and though screwed in some fights he also got some gift decisions.
I don't see how his resume is even debatably better than that of Roy Jones, Hopkins, Holyfield, Lewis or Whitaker, to name a few.

The fact that people really believe that Pacman beats a prime Oscar at 147 proves how underrated Oscar is. This is the same Oscar that kept Tito Trinidad in check with a masterful jab. imagine if that was a 5-6 Paccy at the end of that thing?? 12 round comb or late stoppage.

The fact that people actually think that Pacquaio has no chance against a prime Oscar just shows how overrated Oscar is.

Good boxer, reluctant to fight when he needed to. Not a great fighter in my opinion but a good one. Mentally weak towards the end of his career, he lost a few he possibly could have won if he finished, he didn't! Ray

Overrated by some underrated by others.

People don't remember he actually lost most of his big fights.
But then again some people think he's just some kind of *** that can't fight.

For all his flaws he actually fought some of the toughest guys while being the cash cow.
More than i can say about a couple of other guys in such a position.

                DLH is not underrated.

He lost every significant match in his career except for Quartey.

Who one fights isn't nearly as important as who one beats.

If it were then Zab Judah would be underrated too.

I agree, a prime Oscar beats both Pac and Mayweather. Oscar was the ***in man and his boxing ability, ring intelligence and left hook were legendary.

No. If anything he's overrated. Very good fighter, but so many of his best wins are questionable.
