Last three years~ no Cotto fight the numbers used were posted by a Manny fan and include both gate and PPV revenue. Those differences are not negligable, on a percentage basis 15%. 15% difference on 100 million is 15 million.

50+15=65 million
50-15=35 million

40 million looks rather generous considering them splitting 100 million is a real high goal.

Ariza was mouthin off about Arum months ago. I dont know why this has got people's vaginas so wet again. It happened last time, Ariza said he was gonna "expose" Arum which got the Floyd worshippers all moist before he backed down.

There really is not a lot to see here.

150 on PPV assumes more than a 2 million buy minimum, all at $70 HD and without factoring that cable takes roughly 50% (sometimes up to a ceiling). I think this fight had a shot at 3 million buys in 2010; still might but they blew some goodwill. Not enough to stop it from being the biggest ever barring a loss by one but 3 mill is the wow # they might have missed.

The site fee would be sick and have to be.

I think it could still do 3 million, I will believe that as long as neither guy loses. That would be a huge success though and should not just be expected, and everyone shold profit should it reach such a status.

It is staggering to think they can't work it out so everyone is happy with such a pie.

To me for the fighters share to be 150 the fight overall has to generate more than 300 million gross, that is a whole lot of money for 1 night considering The Avengers which has been breaking records is at like 373 after 2 weeks.

PPVs were only $50 back then...for floyd-pac they will most likely price it at $75. ticket prices will also be higher as well as international rights, close circuits, sponsorships, etc...not to mention it has the potential to break the ppv record that oscar-floyd set.

That is true it is possible for those reasons. I am with you, I just wouldn't know by how much.

If it blows Floyd-Oscar away both sides should benefit from that, still I wouldn't say that should just be expected.

I really, TRULY, believe that Manny is WILLING to get paid less, I really do. The exchange rate of dollars to pesos is HUUUUGE. Manny can get less than Floyd in dollars but Manny's dollars will have more value in the Philippines than Floyd does in the US. So to me, I really believe that Manny has no problem with this since it WILL be his biggest payday.

NOW, with that said, can we all just agree that it is ARUM who needs the 50/50 and not Manny? This really isn't rocket science. So the people here who really believes Manny is the one wanting 50/50 really doesn't know much. Manny may say he wants 50/50 but I'm pretty sure he's speaking for himself AND Arum. Manny said he was willing to take less, and I truly believe he would, but Manny spoke too soon without talking to Arum. Manny was speaking for himself when he said he's willing to take less, but he was speaking for him & Arum when he says 50/50. Manny knows that either way, he will still get less than Floyd, BUT convert those dollars to pesos, I don't see why Manny would care.

Plus, with all these drama with Floyd, I really believe Floyd just doesn't want Arum to get any piece of the pie for this megafight. Any reasonable person here would understand that it is never about not giving Pac what he's worth, but all about not giving Arum anything.

Now the problem with both Floyd and Manny is that both of them are not the most articulate individuals in sports, so they end up sounding like dummies whenever they open their mouth.

The last 5 fights Manny fought ppl that were signed some way or form to TR. That isn't a mystery. Ariza is like the inside man that was in there and saying what he saw or heard. I think Hatton was the last fight Manny fought that wasn't a TR fighter if I'm not mistaken.

Floyd/Pac make way too much money to be fighting each other. There is no way this fight is happening unless one of the two guys dares to be great and takes a deal just to make the fight happen

Floyd will be 37 one and a half years from now. If this fight doesn't happen in 2013 Floyd will be known as the biggest duck in the history of the sport. You'll look like an idiot if you say Arum ducked the fight.
