Most Cotto fans didn't just start watching boxing. There will always be plenty of back and forth but that's all in good banter. Should be a great night of fights.

So wait, you consider Mayweather a "Lower tier ATG" yet all he had to do in your eyes was beat Margarito and Martinez and he's an argubale Top 25 ATG?

      Something doesn't add up there.

      Class is in Session? Please.
IDK Dan, his fight before Floyd was at 140 and he signed a fight the fight after hatton at 144 after a 2 year layoff

hatton clearly a better fight at 140, no? lineal champ? then he would have besten the best at 140, which he never came close to doing....

EVERYONE in the know in boxing thought that margs was the best fighter at 147 and he proved A LOT more at that weight at that time then baldo did, thats for sure. margs was on an 8 fight defense streak or so and was knocking fools out. you guys playing monday morning QB with margs is garbage.

Oh, and beating the legit MW champ. I'd say that's top 25 ATG.

Cotto Fans, Puerto Ricans...they have a rich history in boxing, they are not NEW TO BOXING like a lot of Pacquiao fans and even many Hatton fans during the build up of his fight with Mayweather

when your ignorant to a sport then of course your going to say a lot of IGNORANT DISRESPECTFUL THINGS because you really have no respect for the sport, all you care about is the guy that looks like you and speak your language and that is how a lot of Pacquiao fans act

Cotto fans don't have to act like that because Cotto is not their first Star Fighter

          because you don't respect him.

Dazed at least gives hatton credit for being a better fighter (not to mention the real champ at 140) at 140 than 147.

He was way better at 140 than 147 based on his strengths etc.

          Don't backtrack Dazed.

If you guys dont think Hatton at 140 is a better win than Hatton at 147 you're out of your fookin minds. And wrong.

You can't pretend to live in a vacuum. Can't keep bringing up Margarito as if that was a fight to be made that just didn't happen. He was in litigation with Margarito's promoter. It's like arguing that Floyd should've fought him while knowing he was suffering from a broken arm at that time. Again, things don't work like that.

Second, while Hatton was a better opponent at 140...so was Floyd. It wouldn't have made an ounce of difference on his resume.

Finally, the Martinez fight hasn't faded. So we don't need to speak in the past tense about it and thus, it's a horrible example.

And Mayweather was the reason that fight didn't happen at 140?

Walk me through when it was going to happen and the way Mayweather avoided it.

He was pretty much the same fighter at 140 that he was at 147.

Yet, you just said Mayweather is a "lower tier ATG".

So, where's that? Top 80? Between 80-100? Lower tier ATG right?

Yet, according to you a win over Martinez moves him from there to Top 25?

If hatton is so laughable of an opponent when floyd fought him at 147, why did you name him earlier when you were talking about floyd's career track since he left TR. If he was such garbage, you should have left him off the list

But as bad as Baldomir was, and as much as his journeyman status was ridiculed after the Floyd fight(I say after the Floyd fight because before the Floyd fight he was a killer who Floyd HAD to fight for his WW legacy ]. Baldomir was on an 8 year winning streak and became the 147 Ring Champion, and WBC champion.

8 title defense or 8 year winning streak. That's, he hasn't lost in 8 years before Floyd put an end to do that.

I mean if it's about title defenses, Floyd should have fought Sven Ottke at 168 and seal his legacy right there. Margarito's 8 titles defenses pale in comparison to Ottke's.

                      Kev...with all that...he still couldn't hold Margarito's jock strap.

Was Margarito better than Baldomir? Si. By a lot.
