Dazed at least gives hatton credit for being a better fighter (not to mention the real champ at 140) at 140 than 147.

He was way better at 140 than 147 based on his strengths etc.

    Don't backtrack Dazed.

If you guys dont think Hatton at 140 is a better win than Hatton at 147 you're out of your fookin minds. And wrong.
    I don't respect Ricky Hatton?

    Based on what?

Ironically, I traveled across the UK a few years back just for the chance to shake his hand.

But, I don't respect him? Any other baseless claims you'd like to throw out while you're at it?

I followed Ricky Hatton's entire career. From his very first televised fight. Hatton at 140 is no better than the Hatton at 147.

    I laugh out the loud at the idea of Mayweather fighting Hatton at 140 being;

    1. A fight Mayweather avoided

    2. A fighter that would enhance his legacy more than his win over him already in his prime.

    3. A clear grasp as you have no other examples.

Walk me through when it was going to happen and the way Mayweather avoided it.

quote me where I said he avoided it or stfu. I said floyd could have GONE AFTER certain fights that could have increase his ATG status BUT I dont blame him for chasing $. Maybe you should read some posts before you jump in.

no he wasn't. he is way to short, has no strength advantage and his arms are tiny at WW.

duh, my point is his resume would be better for it. many boxing floks were picking margs in that fight, NONE were picking baldo. you tell me if that's better for one's resume or not.

So, where's that? Top 80? Between 80-100? Lower tier ATG right?

Yet, according to you a win over Martinez moves him from there to Top 25?

        :lol1

no motherfuc ker. stop putting words in my mouth. so far I sad a win over margs instead of baldo, a win over hatton at 140 where he was the best fighter, and a win over sergio at 160 would make him arguably a top 25 atg. it would certainly give him the best resume in boxing right now and would have shut up a lot of his naysayers.

Really? So was Hatton unsuccessful in pushing, shoving and trapping Floyd on the ropes? He had Floyd in the kind of situations he wanted him in, simply could not capitalize when he put him there. You also have to understand that Hatton would blow up as high as 180, so he definitely benefited from fighting at 147.

I hate when posters put words in peoples mouth. That is so annoying.

Did Margarito bring more to the table than Baldomir? No.

Were the majority of Floyd critics asking him to fight Baldomir and accusing him of ducking him? Yes.

Do the majority of Floyd critics who were asking him to fight Baldomir and accusing of ducking him, now give him credit for that win? Nope.

Would it have made any difference with Margarito? No.

Cotto is a good opponent to the majority of boxing fans(not to me), pre-May 5th 2012. Let's see post May 5th 2012.

It's like arguing that Floyd should've fought him while knowing he was suffering from a broken arm at that time. Again, things don't work like that.

Second, while Hatton was a better opponent at 140...so was Floyd. It wouldn't have made an ounce of difference on his resume.3

Finally, the Martinez fight hasn't faded. So we don't need to speak in the past tense about it and thus, it's a horrible example.
so the bold makes absolutely no sense at all. better opponents don't enhance resumes.

ya'll couldn't even come up with Manny as another person Floyd hasn't fought that could put him at top 25 ATG status.

but he bullshi ts for years. like with sergio

I guess atv140 his arma are longer? WHat about floyd's arms? DO they shrink or grow?
