I completely disagree. Margarito in 2006 was one hell of a fighter.

      Cuz it didn't happen.

What makes you think he did? Did you read something in the papers? Which must make it true, you know all those reports that Ricky "wanted" Floyd at 147.

Walt, floyd wasn't exactly a bonafide ticket seller then. He couldn't select opponents like that.

Walt, what kills your argument is that Hatton himself acknowledged that his chances were better at 147. Anyone who knows how to analyze fights could very easily see that. He witnessed Gatti's beating live. How Hatton's chances are better against a faster more athletically gifted version of Floyd is insane, especially considering there is no difference between Hatton at 140 to 147.

you believe that floyd will fight both? give me a % chances on those fights happening in your estimate?

So you are saying two active fighters that still might happen and Hatton at 140 So now it's even worse.

So what do you mean by seeked out? He did or didn't avoid Hatton at 140? ( I laugh even at the idea of that) And why should I figure it out when you are the one making the claim?

So let's go over it, to you, Mayweather is a lower tier ATG. Which I assume is the bottom 100.

Yet, if only he'd seeked out Hatton at 140 and a few other active fighters, he'd be elevated a those 75 places?

And you're genuinely surprised this notion is being laughed at?

Which is why if Floyd fights Canelo & not Martinez, I have every right to call it a duck. But there is also 1 thing tthat Pacman proved. Superstars can sell fights by themselves. Also, can you name anyone who wouldn't pay to see Martinez-Floyd??

If we're being realistic here, Martinez- Floyd can potentially sell as much as any other fight, considering Martinez's stature in the sport.

I think both can happen, yes.

Whether I do or don't doesn't chance the fact they can happen.

Which, of course makes your poor argument even worse than it is already.

wrong, there is definitely a difference

take a poll who thinks hatton was a better fighter at 140 or 147

What hatton says in the paper is shi t. that's called selling the fight.
