Except no one was really saying "Hey Roy's back to his best!"

Cotto fans are among the most delusional in boxing.
Which Cotto fans are saying he's beating Mayweather?

They're saying he's back to his best or some are saying he's better judging by the poll and most of them are giving him a good chance to beat Floyd.

            Cotto is finished.

Can we end that ******ed b.s?

Foreman went into the fight as a two legged undefeated champ, a man who many (probably including you) predicted to box circles around cotto. As it turns out, cotto boxed circles around foreman. It wasnt until the seventh round that foremans knee gave out. One could say it was from all the running/changing directions he had to do because for the first seven rounds cotto was taxing that ass. Once his knee gave out, cotto didnt struggle whatsoever to finish him. Cotto didnt struggle whatsoever in that fight.

Yes mayorga is old, but is still a dangerous power puncher, a fight that presents its own dangers. Same with marg. In all three fights....combined....how many rounds had cotto lost?

The Rabbi actually started to land some clean right hands on Cotto before his knee buckled. Cotto did not look good in that fight imo. It was a mediocre performance.

Well judging by the official poll

                Mayweather KO/TKO 25.96%
                Mayweather Decision 49.42%
                Cotto KO/TKO 16.31%
                Cotto Decision 8.32%

No they are not giving him a good chance to beat him.

Some people feel an intelligent Cotto that is favoring the boxing part of the game is a better fighter, it's debatable. It Miguel was still the body puncher he used to be and was doing this style I might even agree with them. And just because they are giving him a chance to beat Floyd, doesn't make him better. It's a style thing. If Miguel can impose his strength on Floyd, like he did against Margarito he might have a shot. Miguels a proud warrior and won't lay down like Shane Mosley or Victor Ortiz. It's clearly going to be a fight and that certainly increases Miguels chances.

Through 10 rounds that fight was even. People get stopped all the time and kayos can come from no where. If a fight was even through 10 rounds and all of sudden someone scores a kayo, it doesn't mean that fighter was ****d or outclassed.

The same can be said about the Pac fight. Yes, he lost that fight but until he got hit with a punch that changed the fight he was handling Pac nicely. One punch changed that whole fight but lucky for Miguel, Floyd doesn't have that sneaky power that Pac has. Miguel might lose but he's gonna put Floyd through hell.
The prime and the fight was beat out of Cotto in the first Margarito fight is really what I feel Dirk is saying. That is a place mentally that he can be taken back to. It happened in the Manny fight and it could happen May 5th.
Everything isn't about power in boxing PBF puts a different kind of pressure on people. You can block and roll with power punches to take some steam off. But when you getting hit and not hitting your opponent often and on top of that getting countered when you throw. Mentally that is worse than taking a few good power shots. Also if its true throwing punches and missing tires you out as well that is a lot to deal with. So doesn't matter if PBF hits like Manny there are plenty of other things that can go on to actually make it worse than taking a hell of a power shot.

That's more to do with Miguel not being a puncher at 154. He decided to use his boxing skills and that's why he won all 3 fights on the cards by a landslide. Cotto despite having a lot of kayos, really has never been a power puncher.
