I think he's more composed, tactical, smart and efficient

Physically, he'd walk through anything at his best. But those days are gone

Clearly, being a ring tactician will increase his longetivity. I love all the s**t talking though from these haters. Same females that said Foreman would box circles around him or that Margo would make him submit again. Its funny

Some dude earlier said that Mosley would look great against Mayorga...didn't that fight happen already and Mayorga only needed to see the final bell to get a win? Lames are funny here

I voted 'about the same' since changing his fighting style to an extent offsets the physical attributes he had

Just before Pac was about to fight Cotto, we never heard the end of how Cotto would never be the same after losing to Margarito. The excuses were flowing freely left, right and centre. There was no mention of the possibility a better coach would be of any use against Pac.

But now he is fighting Floyd, there is talk of better trained now. One rule for FLoyd when people try giving him credit on a tecnicality and another rule for Pac. Ha ha.

Yes, lets just say Cotto is the best ever now. Floyd is fighting the best ever Cotto, reborn like Christ.

Pac fought the better Cotto physically, plain and simple, it really is a shame Pac's team had to ask for the proposterous catch weight, but that's neither here nor there.

The comparison u describe here is almost exactly like how some remedial Pac fans try to say that Pac fought the better version of Hatton.

Any boxer the older you get
          the more you get hit
you will never be like you use to
          physically, but
mentally he is a smarter boxer
and beating Margarito must of took
a big load of his back...
if he fights Floyd the way Pedro Diaz
          talks he will win...

          War Cotto

At least Cotto has a license...

The reality is hatton is a tough guy, and no one said he would never be the same after he lost to Floyd. He would never be unbeaten again, as he just lost his unbeaten record. There is a difference between Cotto and Hatton losing you know btw, you dont need me to point the obvious out do you?

Hatton was well on his way to becoming a better fighter after losing to Floyd and hiring Senior was the first steps to doing it.

People only started saying Hatton wasnt the same after Pac actually knocked him out. So the excuses were very late. With the Pac vs Cotto fight, the excuses came very early.

He's the same Cotto he was in 2009 when he fought Pacquiao, past his prime-still good, only at 154. Don't let anyone fool you. No one can seriously sit here and say he was a good fight for Pac then and a bad fight for Floyd now, unless they are just bias. Pac will get more credit for Cotto though, because he beat him first, and rightfully so.

This poll is astounding. Truly astounding. No fighter is the same or better after taking beatings like Cotto has in his career.

He'll never be like he was pre-1st Margarito fight. But he's pretty much the same guy he was when he fought Manny in 2009. He's past his prime-still good, can still fight, but isn't what he was fom 2003/2004-2008, and he never will be.
