Lazcano would have been a solid fight too. Shame that didn't happen aswell.
I think he would have beaten Johnston. Do you?
It's a real shame that didn't happen. Out of all the fights Mayweather "avoided" that's one of the only one's that he actually did avoid or find a way around.
I wonder if Johnston had beaten Lazcano, if Mayweather would have fought him then. I guess that stay's in the mystery.Comment

Stevie's really underrated, one of the Top 2-3 LW's of his era no doubt, a 2x LW champ. I think Floyd would have fought him had he beaten Lazcano and I expected him to beat Lazcano. I was surprised when Lazcano stopped Stevie.Comment

Not sure why Floyd held to his agreement to fight Judah, if I remember right. Judah was suppose to be a big fight, but Baldomir killed that. Judah was still a solid win, but didn't make a whole lot of sense after Baldomir beat him.Comment

You pretty much said what I said in my last post.
Yeah, I agree.
Casamayor's another one. I don't think Mayweather avoided him, per se.
Firstly, the timing was a little wrong for his stay at 130.
But, Casamayor's team insisted Mayweather turned down a good offer to fight him. Whilst, Mayweather team said the exact same thing.
The negotiations were very brief so I was never really sure who the fault was on for that one. I think Mayweather wanted the fight though.
And I personally think he didn't want to fight Margarito at that point because he simply didn't want to risk the Oscar fight. Knowing it would take him to super stardom, what he worked his whole life for.
That's how I always saw it.
You could see how tense was Mayweather was in the Oscar fight. His life depended on that fight. It's possibly the least relaxed I've seen him in the ring.
The sad thing is that Floyd was almost robbed in the Oscar fight.......Comment

Yeah, the Zab fight was already inked though. I have no problem with it, at least he fought both guys- A very weird scenario nonethelessComment

Him and Mayweather had a verbal agreement that they would fight after Judah has his tune up with Baldomir. At no point did anyone expect Judah to lose that fight.
When he lost, Mayweather could easily have just said **** Judah. I don't need you. He didn't have to honor their agreement. There was no contracts or anything signed. Just a simple verbal agreement.
Floyd went ahead with it. And I understand why he did it. I understand why he honoured it. And, It's a solid win IMO.
But, the best fight available at that point was Margarito and everyone knew it. He should have taken it, it was the best fight available.Comment

There were no contracts signed that Mayweather and Judah was going to happen after Judah-Baldomir.
Nothing but verball agreement and a handshake.Comment

I don't think Bradley is afraid of Khan. Like you, I think he knows Khan is a threat and he didn't want to risk the Pacquaio fight.
Hopefully that fight can still happen somewhere down the line. Both are still young.Comment
