Prime 147 Shane Vs Prime 147 Floyd

I'm just pointing out that people say "Oh if Shane had been prime" completely forgetting that Floyd wasn't prime either and hasn't been since Hatton.Comment

A prime Floyd is too good to be Adrian Stone'd. Floyd would have hanged tough, hold do what he had to do to survive and then go on and win a decision.
The 2 most underrated aspect of Floyd is his toughness and heart. I think because of the way he fights he doesn't get credit for having such a tough fighter and have the heart and will to win. Plus his chin is pretty good too. No way he gets Adrian Stone'd by Mosley....Maybe by someone like Hearns, sure...But, Mosley? Nah. Mosley did more his damage at 147 by accumulation of punches. And, he wouldn't have hit Floyd enough.Comment

Yeah I think both were at their best primes in separate weights anyways, but for discussion's sake I'm doing it at 147.Comment

Despite Shane not really being a thinking man in the ring he always did better in rematches with one big exception where Oscar adjusted big time to him.
I think Shane would get confused by what Floyd does first fight, then the second fight Foyd would probably try the same thing while Mosley would have some idea about what to try, Floyd would probably adjust again though so it might stay fairly close to the first fight in terms of scores.
They would have been interesting at the time, after the fact it seems very clear what would go down no matter the margin.Comment

People in this thread have acted like Mayweather isn't on Shane Mosley's level
Shane Mosley.
Mayweather's style's a nightmare for Shane. There's no doubt he'd struggle.Comment

Floyd's chin and toughness are underrated for the same reason Roy's chin and toughness were underrated: He's too good for either to be tested very often.A prime Floyd is too good to be Adrian Stone'd. Floyd would have hanged tough, hold do what he had to do to survive and then go on and win a decision.

Agree 100%. People act like Floyd has a glass jaw or some s**t, Floyd seems have a solid pretty good chin.A prime Floyd is too good to be Adrian Stone'd. Floyd would have hanged tough, hold do what he had to do to survive and then go on and win a decision.

And Floyd has showed heart and will his whole career. Just because he usually wins comfortably, people want to say he has no heart or toughness.Comment

That's because a lot of people have this nostalgic love affair with Shane Mosley, and remember him as this ungodly fast, super strong, perfect fighter who could do anything in the ring. They do, they think he could literally fight any way and make any adjustment, and he's too fast and strong for anyone to handle. I've seen people's posts saying so.Comment
