Legit fight? As in Cotto has a very good chance to win?

You need to ask:
What chance do you give Cotto of defeating Floyd?

Who has Cotto beat lately that gives you that feeling that Cotto will have a very good chance of winning?

That version of the one-eyed Margarito, the one-legged Foreman and the all bark no bite Mayorga wins are not close to Floyd's level of competition.

Cotto lost decisively to a better but perhaps cheating Margarito, lost to Manny and almost lost to Clottey.


I'm really hoping for a good fight and that what Cotto's camp says is true but objectively speaking, the odds are presently in favor of Floyd, big time.

i dont give anyone but martinez a high chance of beating floyd. i think floyd will dominate cotto and i also think he would dominate pac. but that doesnt mean its not a legit fight. cotto is a 154 lb champ and hes ranked high on all unoffical and official rankings, theres no way this fight isnt legit.

Exactly. Floyd will 100% win and the fight isn't all that competitive...but that speaks more to Floyd's level than it does to Cotto's.

I've seen the fight a couple of times. I don't have to be a Margarito fan either to see the home cooking that went into their second fight. I'm pretty sure you didn't watch the fight.

I agree with having Santos ahead on the cards....but I'm VERY confident that Tony would have stopped him in the late rounds.

Guys constantly talk about pressure being Floyd weakness obviously don't watch his fights, every guy that has pressured him has gotten knocked out or beating badly. The Ortiz example is crap, it may look good but if u really watch Ortiz was missing and catching left hook after left hook, without the bad ending his eye was already swollen and that wasn't from the shot that ended the fight. And if people think Ortiz was back pedaling because Floyd doesn't have pop are crazy if he really hit that soft Ortiz would have just kept slugging which he didn't. Cotto has a punches chance like everyone else and I like Cotto. Mosley has a chin too ask him if it feels good to get punched in the face by floyd..
