That's a good question, and i must say that I don't know the answer. I'd hazard a guess that it's because he's a Cuban trainer and that place is known for top boxers, therefore must have top trainers. There was a Cuban boxer I followed a long time ago named Luis Rodriguez, he said his success was due to his trainer and that Cuba had great trainers.Comment

your an idiot periodwhat I know is Mayweather will land the first shot and will not back up.Cotto's not difficult to hit so if slower fighters can find his face what will Mayweather do.Yes Mayweather looked unsettled when he faced Cotto with Kellerman but that's what Mayweather needs to train even harder. This is what I like because Mayweather will beat Cotto the way he beat Gatti,it will be one sided and brutal.Comment

I swear if Cotto somehow pulls this off both him and his coach deserve fighter and trainer of the year awards.Comment

Margarito wasn't getting dominate like idiots claim. There is no way in hell Santos was dominating or even winning that fight. At best a draw. Go watch the fight instead of angry hurt fan made videos when Margarito beat Cotto.Comment

Ha ha ha ha ha! Just like a prime undefeated Miguel Cotto hattoned a not prime, 36 year old Mosley who him and his father didn't know what the rounds were? Cotto sc****d past Shane Mosley and you believe that he would have beat Floyd in 5rds? Really reaching on that one.Theres a reason why floyd retired instead of fighting Cotto in his prime 6+ years ago, he was waiting for Cotto to get shopworn aka KTFO by Marg and Pac
In a fair fight with a ref that takes points away for throwing elbows and shoving off with forearms to the neck, and a neutral venue (not floyds backyard), than Cotto wins this fight EASILY.
A prime Cotto would've Hattoned floyd within 5 rounds.Comment

Your gonna have a lot of tail tucking to do if your "predictions" of utter dominance don't work out. This is the problem I have with a lot of posters on here. Once you understand that boxing is by nature unpredictable you stop making all these absolutist predictions for this fight or that fight. Who could have predicted that Buster Douglas would have not only beaten Mike Tyson but KO'd him? No one, and Douglas isn't even close to the caliber of fighter that Cotto is.Comment
