  • I do not think Leonard was afraid of Pryor and I think he would have won that fight. I do not remember the offer he made Pryor but I am sure it was a poor one and Pryor had every right to turn down an insulting offer. Leonard was very greedy with keeping most of the purse just as Oscar and Floyd are.

IMO, when manny acted like a petulant child no one had a problem with it. When floyd does it, now suddenly he has to do it for the good of the sport and the fans. GTFO!

Manny had the deal he wanted and let it go. If you or I did that, we'd be ass out.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating, and you can't avoid that Mayweather told blatant barefaced lies about the negotiations and they were clearly shown to be lies by reputable people. Takes a staunch Mayweather lover to ignore this, so being that you are, everything you say is tainted. Me, although I don't like Mayweather, I don't care about Pacquiao either, just want to keep facts straight, and not be drawn into the feeding frenzies af the dumbos.

Unless there are changed situations, the original offers should still be valid. Nothing changed but the offer was withdrawn because of the arbitrary, controlling urge of Mayweather. If he's so keen on a "fair fight" he shouldn't object if it's fair all 'round, such as in the money share. Pacquiao is a much bigger global name than he is, which probably gripes him enough to want to be the "BIG BOSS over Pacquiao..................and Arum......a psychotic child.......
      Makes him feel good......

If MannyP was not so placating and polite, trying to be "the world's good guy" Mayweather wouldn't dare try to take such advantage of him.......

I could be wrong, and there are posters out there who can correct me, but.... was it not that Pacquiao agreed to a 24 day cut-off and Mayweather countered with 14 days. It was the Pacquiao side which came down to 14 days and then were told that it wasn't being offered any more. So, since Mayweather wouldn't accept Pacquiao's good faith compromise, which had actually been first proposed by Mayweather, it was obvious that he really was only making a fool of everybody. As I've already pointed out, Greenburg and Kizer testified to this. His motive? Feeling "good".... What we call Chutzpah. Mayweather is more full with this than any boxer I've ever heard of....except Muhammed Ali.

At that, I seem to have a dim memory of Mayweather, during these Pacquiao offers, saying that the offer was only open for a certain amount of time, so you may be right in part.

anyway, leonard would have easily beat beat pryor...no doubt...
LOL at the crap you just posted. and he is from grand rapids in the great state of michigan. i wont even began to list some of the shameful reasons the sissy from the wild card gym has offered. and add the fact he FINALLY agreed to a 14 day cut off AFTER it was off the table. which only means he should have taken it in the first place. and i admire the sugar ray. but, imo the hawk would have done to him what he did alexis arguello. like arguello sugar ray was a master boxer. but the hawk was a beast with ko power in both hand and a dam good boxer with a real trainer in manny stewart. ray leonard was no dummy. for you to say sugar would have beat the hawk easily, you must have been smoking some good stuff.

floyd NEVER agreed to a 24 day cutoff. that was roach's counter offer to floyds 14 day cut off. and floyd said again 14 day cut off. then roach and pac said go jump in the river. it was pac and roach that walked away from the first round of negotiations.

hey i dont seem to recall floyd EVER offering another fighter 10% to his 90% so if you are going to call one fighter greedy call them all out.

your logic is very flawed. and dont come in here and pretend like you call the facts down the middle. and ask ANY ONE with skill in negotiations they will tell you,if you walk away from the offer and then come back with a weak mea culpa, there is no way that offer comes back up. since you spit on the first offer, since it was such a load of crap, how do you have the unmitigated gall to come back and say ok we'll take your offer. and this is after floyd told them this was a one time offer. and if manny was such a global power, how come the biggest non-heavy wt title fight was floyd v oscar? how come floyd v jmm out sold TWO pac v jmm fights by250k? please and pac is so polite why did he wt drain cotto even though he was fighting at welter wt limit of 147? please egard you dont fool any one dont come here and say you dont care about pac then sit here in front of every one and jack him off. nobody is that ******. and many times when some one posted a negative about pac, you jumped all over them like a teen age girl defending the jonas brothers.
