Azumah is borderline ATG and it's a draw with JCC (yeah I know he won).

Pacquiao ATG opponents defeated ----> Morales, Barrera HOF-----> Mosley, DLH. Borderline HOF-----> JMM, (Hatton?), Cotto.

If Virgil Hill can get to HOF, so can Oscar Larios.
Mike McCallum is absolutely an ATG. As is James Toney.

Azumah Nelson is also an ATG and as you said about Chavez, he won.

As for Larios and Hill I wouldn't say that but I wouldn't vote for Virgil Hill to be in the HOF anyway.

As for Pacquaio, Cotto and Hatton aren't HOF'ers IMO but the rest I agree with but as you can see Roy Jones has beaten more ATG's on paper than Pacquaio and Whitaker has also but that's just a title.

McCallum was shot to pieces when Roy Jones fought him and Morales was well passed his prime when Pacquaio beat him and of course the third time.

And Mosley and Oscar have obvious question marks next to them aswell.

Just because a fighter beat an ATG or an HOF doesn't make it anything special it depends where they are in their career.

Jimmy McLarnin has Benny Leonard on his resume but does it mean anything? No.

But even then, Roy Jones and Whitaker have beaten more or the same amount of ATG's as Pacquiao anyway, not that that matters or means anything.

Like I said, I rank them both ahead of Pacquaio, personally.

      .
Of course it does....but it takes more than just that I agree. 4 lineal titles, 8 weight divisions, 3 FOTY and 1 FOTD awards adds up. Besides a fewer HOF on Whitaker's resume, what else is there? RJJ has FOTD and weight division titles, so RJJ has a case.

You can insist on McCallum being a ATG all you want. It's just reaching Dan. Toney is no ATG either. He is a HOF....just like Mosley.

We can talk about he's out of prime this, too raw that about Pacquiao but it can also be said about both Pernell and Roy.

Not if they're a shell of themselves, it doesn't.

Whitaker was arguably the fighter of the 90's. Many consider him to be.

Of course Roy Jones has a case As does Whitaker. You can't say "they don't have a case" they have more than a case.

I can't see how McCallum isn't an ATG. It's not reaching at all, he has an exceptional resume. Toney probably has less of a case than McCallum. Although, he is an ATG also. He really isn't comparable to Mosley Neither of them.

Absolutely. I said that in my post. I said that McCallum was shot to pieces when Roy Jones fought him. He doesn't get credit for that win despite it being a win over an ATG.

        • Again it doesn't matter who but when.

And, The Body Snatcher is an ATG.

          • I'm assuming by modern era people are not discussing the 90s, because there's no other reason Roy wouldn't be leading this poll.

            • im not sure pacquiao is the p4p best anymore.

a couple of years ago, after a mayweather fight, id think mayweather would beat pacquiao. and after a pacquiao fight id think he would beat mayweather.

but the last few fights have been bobbins to say the least for pacquiao. fights with mosley and margarito have done nothing for him other than add another alphabet title in another weight class.

he arguably just lost to marquez aswell so pacman needs to pull his finger out if he wants to claim he is the best in the world.
