If Martinez has KO'ed 3 straight MW's, how is he "TOO SMALL" to fight @168?

Some people are built great for boxing. Floyd is built perfectly to jump weight classes. He's thin, not stocky and he's unusually long. And Floyd is too small for 154.

Pacquiao is too small for Welterweight but until he got to Lightweight he was always huge for his weight class as his body continued to grow into each weight class. Pac is unquestionably fighting at least one weight class higher than he should be fighting.

To criticize Martinez for not going to 168 is totally and completely absurd. Martinez is what, 5'10? He's short for a MW, he's thick, and he's not unusually long.

He'd be at a 3-4 inch height advantage against any of the top guys at MW and he's visibly a smaller man than all of them as well. This isn't difficult to see. Martinez, like a guy like Cotto, don't have the body types to jump weight classes like some guys do.

Pac has defeated 4 WW's...how is he too small?

Because like I already posted, Chavez is a beltholder in his division. He's also not as good as fighters at 168. Same reason Pac could fight Ortiz at welterweight and not fight Sergio, even though they are within a couple pounds of each other on fight night. Weigh ins matter.

By this logic, if Pacman can knock out cott at 147 he should be able to fight Martinez at 154.

If Cotto can knock out Mayorga at 154 he should be able to fight martinez at 160.

Its obvious that you don't have LOGIC. If Martinez has had 4 straight KO's at MW, is he not a full fledged MW?

People say he is athletic but yet can't move up 1 division? They compare him to RJJ, RJJ was fighting 154lbs when he turned pro but was still moved up and was knocking out guys 4 weight classes ahead of him in LHW.

I gave Floyd a pass on a Martinez fight until now. Fighting for a belt at 154 for the second time? Then you can fight Sergio at the same weight. That's always been my stance, and if Pac ever fights above welterweight again it will be the same for him.

Floyd-Sergio is awesome, make it happen.

I am not against a Mayweather-Martinez fight. I want to see it. But I am playing devils advocate here....
