If Martinez has KO'ed 3 straight MW's, how is he "TOO SMALL" to fight @168?

Martinez is actually 5'10 and Ward is 6'0. Sounds like a cherry-picker if you're calling out Pacquiao at 5'6 1/2. That's almost a 4in. advantage. He's confident when calling out the smaller guys and hesitant when replying to the bigger guys.

Once again, hes coming down in weight to fight the smaller guys. Is Ward coming down to fight Sergio at 160? No.

      You have no point.

Mayweather is about to have his second fight at 154. One less than Trinidad had at that weight. So really, whats the difference?
I do not dispute what you said about Tito and Oscar.....

Mayweather having his 2nd fight at that weight in 5 years?...

Ward already said he would meet at a catchweight.....Sergio doesnt want it.

              According to boxing news....Dec 29th 2011

Sergio Martinez (48-2-2, 27 KO’s), who reportedly is willing to move up in weight to face the 27-year-old Ward at 168lbs next year. Martinez is talking about leaving HBO for Showtime, which would work out perfectly for a fight against Ward, because he has a contract for his fights to be televised on Showtime. Martinez’s next fight is scheduled for March 17th next year against Matthew Macklin at Madison Square Garden in New York.

At 5’10”, Martinez might have problems with the 6’0” Ward and would have even bigger problems with his superior hand speed. Martinez is used to being the faster guy in his bouts but he would to figure out how to handle a quicker and younger fighter like Ward.

Things could go bad for Martinez if he can’t hurt Ward, because he’s not a really good inside fighter and that’s likely where Ward would be taking the fight to Martinez.
