Anyone who has used 8oz and 10oz Grant gloves will tell you that the padding difference over the knuckle area between the two is minimal.

Some of you guys will buy anything that comes out of this dudes mouth.
Your statements are ridiculous. Speed and timing is used to hurt his opponents. So to imply Mayweather wants smaller gloves but doesn't really want to fight hard is just ******.

And who said Cotto doesnt wear everlast now?
Shane made the choice to wear Grants. I remember Eaner saying that he could have chose an Everlast glove, and Eaner would know this because he works with/for them and is pretty close to some real boxing camps.

Cotto is a strong puncher but not a KO puncher. He used to just dig deep with the left to the body and got good leverage and does have a heavy hand as they say..but he's not an explosive puncher ala Zab, Shane, and Pac at lower classes, Berto, etc. Cotto would try to punch through you....but he doesn't have the youth to deal with the punishment he'll receive on the way in anymore. Lets not forget Zab was catching him clean and had him stunned and was doing well up until the low blows....

I think this fight will look like that but worse after the early rounds. This all depends on which Cotto shows up...bicycle/defensive minded/pot shotting Cotto, or agressive body punching Cotto? Can Cotto's face and will hold up long enough to reap the benefits? I expect Floyd to hurt Cotto with left hooks and uppers as he comes in, the same way Zab and Pac did (albeit from a southpaw stance, Floyd's speed and accuracy with his are out of this workd). Cottos jab and left hook to the body will be his keys to victory, while I think Floyd will cut Cotto with straights, but hurt him with well timed hooks and uppers.

I'm curious to see what Floyd does when he puts himself on the ropes..and what Cotto will do? Will he just pot shot and move back? Or go for it?
