LOL, he is and has made a mockery of Cotto !

He is so happy to fight a broken willed fighter and to use him to show how great he really is.

But his mind is on Pac !!!!!!

The only one fighter that worrys him is PAC

HE knows deep in his heart the one fighter that can out:

    gun him

    game him

    knock him out

    IS PAC

From all reports now Jr will never fight PAC !!!

He will be blemished FOREVER for DUCKING PAC !!!!!!!!
you do realize Manny demanded that in his fight with Margarito they fight with 8oz gloves right? at 154.....

the MX has a better horse to foam ratio than the current Reyes in any size

Two KO of the year fights from 2011 (Nonito vs Montiel and Olafalobi vs Dunstan) were in the MX

      • The way Floyd fights now is like a boxer puncher. He uses his quick reflexes and defensive mastery to roll the punches but pretty much stays right in your face. I don't know when he decided this is what he wanted to do but **** I like it.

yeah we gave him his choice and in the end he chose the Grant and has continued to use them

his choice but I actually would love to see him go back to Reyes for this fight

              When he lost his legs?

lol He decided to do it before the Mosley fight if I remember correctly. He wanted to be more exciting as critics said he wasn't exciting anymore.

He was right as he said if he stood in front of someone and fought toe to toe (Mosley/Ortiz), critics would say his legs are shot. Yet if he moves around the ring they say he's running.

                no

he wants the smaller profile an 8oz glove has

the difference in weight barely registers in the mind

the size though is quite different

Kind of funny he's getting hated on for wanting 8oz gloves.
he wore Reyes at Oscar's request

It's not like Cotto murders any elite fighters or has them running. Mayweather made Mosley more hesitant than Cotto did. Pacquiao didn't get seriously hurt by Cotto really and even thought Marg copped a beating he never went down like he did vs Mosley.

I don't see Cotto knocking Mayweather out unless it is a lucky shot and I don't see him landing enough to create a stoppage by accumulation either. Mayweather is more likely to win by KO simply because of his accuracy and defence he could force Cotto's team to throw in the towel to prevent Miguel taking too harsh a one-sided beating.

I love Cotto but his best chance to me is a lucky shot and I don't see him as this destroyer that some paint him as.
I'd be mildly surprised if Mayweather stopped Cotto, but I think your post is mostly on the money.

I don't know why every time Floyd fights, there's all these people thinking he could get KO'ed. People need to stop and ask themselves: who's the last elite fighter Cotto knocked out? How many times has Floyd been stopped in his career? How many times has he been knocked down? How many times has he been hurt?

I think there's a chance Cotto makes this somewhat competitive (by winning 2-4 rnds, for instance) but I can't see anything he has that really troubles Floyd. That's not to say that Miguel's not a fine fighter - he is - but, style-wise, you can probably count the number of fighters over the last 20 years you'd give a realistic shot at beating Floyd on one hand, and I don't see Cotto as being one of them.
