Just Another Floyd-Tactic; He Remembers How Oscar Beat Hell Out Of Him!

It's not that the gloves wouldnt' fit Cotto, it's that the last time Floyd wore 10 ounce gloves, they didn't work out so well for him, as Oscar Dela Hoya hit the crap out of Floyd, Floyd didn't like the heavier gloves, and he got a controversial win. Oscar offered Floyd $25M for a rematch, and Floyd ran the other way. So once again, Floyd is making demands, trying to stir things up, and get in the head of Cotto. How I would love to see Cotto stretch Floyd out!

Smaller gloves mean they won't fit Cotto and that means Cotto can't win. Not fare, Floyd sucks.
      LOL. . . There was NO REHYDRATION CLAUSE for Pac/Cotto. . .

Gotta love the haters, and excuse makers. . . Just like FLoyd. .

Second he states that in his mind Cotto is undefeated because of the hand wraps incident with Margarito and the fact he drained himself down to 145 to fight for his WW titles at 147lbs.

Third is that he does not want everyone to take apart what the first two statements are by simply saying well he said statement one so he could get Cotto into 10oz gloves and statement two he said to hype the fight more.

My take on it is this you have a great champion at 154lbs who likes to leave it all in the ring. A champion at 154lbs who has two losses (although one is questionable and the other can be written off to weight issues) fighting a undefeated champion at 147lbs who has held a belt at 154lbs and is considered to be top P4P. Why are we even getting upset about anything that is being said? This fight is great for boxing.

As for Floyd I think the time he spent ojn the side lines helped his hands heal some. If his hands are feeling good and he is able to sit down on his punches more and throw them more often his punch out put will increase and we will see some exchanges.
you forgot the one excuse that floyd loves to use himself " cotto is margs and pac's leftover"....a taste of his own medicine!

The smaller gloves make Cotto more vunerable to cuts and swelling which is already a problem for him. And let's not pretend Cotto has been a devastating puncher at 47 or 54.

Mayweather made it clear he doesn't like the bigger gloves all the way back to the Delahoya fight.I don't know why this seems to be surprising to some
          .
They would know this sort of information if they really followed Floyd's career instead of discrediting him without knowing the facts.

Or because he lost for the second time in four fights (not to mention struggling to get past Clottey) and 154 was a less talented division where he could pick up an easy title.

For a guy who had recently moved up from SFW, sure. Difference here is Floyd has already won a title at 154.

Anyhow I'm sure the heavier gloves diminish Floyd's hand speed a bit and let's face it, Cotto has no chance of hurting him, even with the lighter gloves.

I say Cotto should use reyes this time around!!
I agree 100%, Cotto should strap-up with some Cleto Reyes for this fight. Everyone knows that is a punchers glove of choice. Man I hope they allow 8oz. gloves! War!

I hope so, though he may have an exclusivity deal with Everlast since he hasn't used Cleto since the 1st Margarito fight. Or maybe he uses the Everlast MX because like someone in here had said, the Cleto 10 oz are more of a pillow than the Everlast MX 10 oz.
