Point is that floyds being a little bit ch hater. Dude came out of nowhere and is ballin, why does floyd care? If a black hockey player no one heard (or asian oje for that matter) joined the bruins and broke records and played like a top 20 player in the league, including making game winning goals in his 7th game, do people really think it wouldnt be huge news?

God, i wonder if it every gets so hard being such whiny bit ches.
But Walt if someone asked you why do you care what floyd said its the same thing.

Of course black people don't get much attention from the sports media, they've been killing basketball for decades. Even so, the only basketballers I know apart from Lin are Jordan, Shaq, James, Bryant, Iverson, and Nash. The majority of basketballers I know are black therefore, Floyds arguments are invalid. Black players get the majority of the hype. Of course Lin is an exception, he is an Asian-American nobody who has taken his team to a 6 game winning streak. If an Asian footballer joined Bolton Wanderers and scored 15 goals and 10 assists in his first 6 games, there would be a similar reaction. Novelty attracts attention. Black players being good at basketball isn't a novelty it's expected. Why do you think ***** got so much attention? Because he was a black man in a white dominated arena. The fact is, Lin is doing remarkable. Floyd dragging his popularity down to a matter of race is crass and wholly unnecessary.

i dont have a twitter and the only people who would listen to me are the folks who I am involved with on a day to day- face to face basis.

and I bet its a lot more helpful to the community in general than floyd's fundraisers where they dress like pimps and flash money around. what does it say that this clown is going to hate on some no name basketball player because he's not black? what good does that do? especially when the EXACT SAME thing would happen that would benefit a black person in a non black sport.... seriously, floyd is a piece of shi t. dude makes and blows millions and millions of dollars and this is the kind of shi t he tweets about?

i have no twitter account, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that floyd doesn't really project a community friendly and positive persona to his twitter followers. wtf is wrong with being happy for another minority getting some props from playing basketball? why not tweet that this kid is killin it and you respect him?

anyone who pretends that a national figure should have the same responsibility and be treated the same as a random person on your block needs to reconsider what their purpose is in life or is just a straight up fool. if everything was equal in life, i could see it. but its not and if an asian in the nba gets some love or not, it will have ABSOLUTELY NO BEARING on how the black community is treated as a whole in this country. It's ***in absurd.

Floyd's comments are about the media hype, not Lin as an individual.

Because the kids success is being compared relative to black players, AI, MJ, Rose etc. that didn't have the same opportunity to play against NBA players for a year before starting. The comparison is uneven.

so ***in what? it would happen in any sport or any walk of life when something new happens. why make a big deal out of it? why hate?

its a big deal cause the nba and espn can make money off of it. I am not hating on Lin so I can't answer that.

wrong, they also didn't play on a team with multiple superstars that were playing like ish that they turned around.

his media attention for 7 damn games is something that floyd should just stfu about. why should floyd give a damn about some kid who might be just a flash in the pan.

lets say some mexican QB rolled up onto the colts last year after they were 0-8 last year and won 5 straight games with sick ass number. do you HONESTLY think that he would just get an average amount of airplay? It's not like the media has forgotten about lebron and all the other black players.

he's HATING ON THE HYPE LIN IS GETTING. can't you see that? let the dude get some hype. wtf? again, if it was a black hockey player for the bruins or rangers doing similar things, he would be getting hype galore.
