In what way is Floyd an "idiot"?
LOL .. he came from poverty, worked hard and is more successful than anyone on this board including the owner of the site!
Call him what you like but an idiot is better at something than all of you, has more money than all of you, owns more profitable businesses than all of you, and lives a life that all of you dream of!
The term "idiot" must have changed over the last few years!
Some of you will argue "Yeah but he says ****** things".
Like you don't?!?!?!?!?
Just read this site!
And no one said that Floyd was the most profound or articulate individual.
He's simply the best at pugilist in the world. He's also not a bad businessman as he turned the tables on one of the most notorious shysters in the business of boxing: Bob Arum!
And yes .. he was right about Lin. If race wasn't such an issue, then why is the word "Asian" in almost every headline? Why not just Harvard grad? Why not just NY Knick? Why not just Jeremy Lin?
Were it not for the pictures and the "Asian" headline, the story wouldn't have gained any steam and any honest person knows it.
Jeremy Lin's story blew up for the same reasons that Tiger Woods first blew up. For the same reasons that the Williams sisters blew up. For the same reason that Manny Pacquiao blew up. For the same reasons that the Klitschkos have had so many headlines.
Its outside the norm, so people are willing to give it a second look.
Bo Jackson was an superb athlete and played both pro football and pro baseball, but because he was black, it wasn't a far stretch of the imagination for anyone who watches pro sports to watch someone black dominate.
Let it have been an Eskimo, or a Native American, or a Mongolian, or a kid from Sri Lanka doing that **** and it would be on the cover of Sports Illustrated and Time Magazine.
Conversely, if it were a black kid from Brooklyn who wins the Tour de France, that too would be headline news.
People need to give the bull**** a rest.
Ohh StFu already. Stop the hating and **** rinsing already. Lin is getting the hype behind his back story. From sleeping on his brothers couch and so on. What Floyd said was wrong an the majority of the world agrees with it. The only jerk offs who don't seem to get it are the same ones who post here night after night sucking him off on these boards. This site isn't even about boxing anymore it comes down to who can ride on Floyd harder.Comment

First, forget that Lin is Asian(although he's actually an American for being born in that country). Just think of what he's done so far.
From being a nobody, someone who played in a B or C level league in college, who's been cut from two NBA teams, and the last guy in the Knicks line-up, to the guy who turned a six game losing streak into six consecutive wins, while surpassing the accomplishments of many NBA greats by scoring more points in his first six games as a starter in the process. Keep in mind that those NBA greats were top draft picks, big names even before being drafted, who were offered tremendous incentives, and were expected to deliver for their respective teams as soon as they donned the uniforms. Compare those players with somebody who had a ten-day contract with the Knicks, was being paid on a daily basis and was facing the possibility of getting cut again and you'll see the reason for all the buzz.
Now imagine that this guy's name is not Lin. Try Jeremy Lynne, or Jamal Collins. Imagine that from out of nowhere, this nobody suddenly sparked his team and performed like a superstar. Does anyone here think that if this guy is either black or white he won't be getting the media attention and the adoration from the fans, especially with a team like the NEW YORK KNICKS? Sure, to be of Asian descent would definitely add to it. But even if you take that out, it would still be a major event and a great accomplishment and people will still be raving about it.Comment
