Sorry it isn't that simple. It's usually structured in a way where once a certain PPV number is exceeded the percentage of each PPV is significantly increased.

For example:

Fighters earn 40% of PPV revenue on first 1,000,000 buys.
Fighters earn 60% of PPV revenue after 2,000,000 buys
Fighters earn 85% of PPV revenue after 3,000,000 buys.

Before Top Rank's cut and various other expenses chances are Manny would earn far more than $40M.

How can 2 fighters earn 60% from the PPV revenue?

That is other revenue included so how come PAc made less then 40 %?

Also How many times must I repeat this, if it goes 50/50, it will be 50% Top Rank with every revenue source.
So let say The gate makes 20 mil, that will be 10 mil each.

Third JMM fight made 11½ live gate.
So they'll actually make less at the live gate then on the JMM fight.

And if you split up the ppv buys 50/50.
Lets say we are being extremely optimistic here, draws 2.4 mil.
That will split up as 1.2 mil buys each.

But lets be realistic and say it will draw 1.8 mil instead.
That equals a PPV with 900k........

How could Pac possible make far more then 40 mil with the kind of contract he has with Top Rank.

There is a reason why ODLH and MAyweather Left Top Rankand made soooo much more money then when they were with Arum.

MY understanding is that the cable/PPV people get 50%. Many reputable writers and boxing experts have stated this. Also Arum gets exactly 27% of Pacquiao's purse. And believe me he earns it. You look up what a promoter does to earn his money. Without Top Rank promoting it there wouldn't be nearly the amount they expect. You have to give credit where it's deserved. I've also seen that of the residue, that is, the total PPV and other money's coming in (excluding sponsorships and privately arranged TV broadcastings) each fighter has made his own deal with the promoters for either a certain dollar figure per PPV sold, or, the prominent fighter like Pacquiao will likely have an agreement to get a percentage of the gate, or maybe PPV residue (I'm not sure). I've seen where Arum has mentioned, with MannyP 80%.

The contracts are complicated, which is why they need teams of lawyers, and the public is not informed of the inner workings. Why should they be??? So everything we see posted on this site, has to be taken with caution. That is, if you are concerned about the fighter's earnings. I don't see why you should be. He doen't care about your's. I suspect you may be using your "worry" just to bash Arum.............

As for Arum swindling MannyP that has never been proven and likely never will be. It's pure scandalous gossip, thrown around by Arum haters, or *** haters. Arum spent years studying law, and has a deep respect for it, as 96% of lawyers do. He would be too careful to do anything for which he could be ruined. It would b a foolhardy for a man in his high profile position to do anything like that. Especially when he knows that he is under a glaring spotlight all the time, every day, every hour and minute.

However, if you want to feel good, and dream about Arum being a swindler of poor little simple minded Pacquiao (who just happens to be surrounded by sharp su****ious people, and have enough money to investigate any perceived fraud and likely has a firm of chartered accountants on the payroll to look after his finances) Well......go ahead, be happy, enjoy yourself with your conspiracy, exchange them with your pals...... enjoy.
