He just has it on hold. In reality there is no contract if there is no opponent. Just like MGM held the March 13, 2010 date for him. Floyd can easily move the date like he did then. However, why should he? And, plus I don't know about the court situation.

I follow you, I wasn't referring to the court date. Touchè on March 13, 2010, I do remember that. Question becomes was he not contractually obligated back then but is today, or did his team bull**** the court as to the reason for the continuance? If its the latter then he'd be able to move the date, but we don't know for sure.

At best, it doesn't look good for him to tell the judge he needs a continuance because he can't reschedule his May 5 fight, be granted that continuance then reschedule his May 5 fight.

what u say is true about the dates. the questions that would need answering is is there an issue with this from the courts since that is what he was grated the stay for? the other question would be is whether mgm grand has anything planned for those dates. but the most important question as u eluded to is why the hell should it matter? why not may 5th? is it the cut? what is it?

The difference is the MGM was already booked for May 5th and the judge already posponed his sentence cause the date is fixed. Bob Arum being a former lawyer knows Floyd cant fight on any other day. When Floyd was going to jail Bob said he was taking that date for Manny instead and only after he learned Floyd's sentence was being posponed Manny suddenly cant make May 5th.

youre guessing man....if floyd and manny fights, the venue will adjust soince it'd be the biggest event that'd generate major$$$ 's.....

it aint like reserving a hotel room....the venue will adjust to the fighter's schedule.....pac and floyd arent superstars for nothing...
