Floyd has never seriously wanted this fight, but will spins lines about it every so often, because it sells the fights he has.

And thats what Floyd is interested in, easy fights, big money. And the Pacquiao fight is only one part of that equation.

Well from what i understand De la Hoya said they tried to contact Arum a few weeks ago and he does not even reply to them. Arum instead went to the media and made them believe negotiations were happening as usual.
