I love how Arum bashes Mayweather for picking a date and a venue ahead of time, saying thats not how you negotiate...

Yet here is Arum, giving Mayweather a deadline to agree to late May.

I think you fail to realize the court posponed his sentence because the date was already fixed. Put 2 and 2 together and do the math yourself i refuse to bellieve youre an idiot, everyone was born with the same amount of brain cells. To fight on another date he would have to see the judge again. Arum is a former lawyer and knows this so he is changing dates. Also im not guessing cause Arum said in his own words Manny was avaliable for May 5th when Floyd was going to jail and when he found out Floyd was not going to jail Manny suddenly cant make that date because of a cut. You actually believe Arum when he says it takes 6 months for a cut to heal? I have confidence in you, youre not that ******.....

I follow you, I wasn't referring to the court date. Touchè on March 13, 2010, I do remember that. Question becomes was he not contractually obligated back then but is today, or did his team bull**** the court as to the reason for the continuance? If its the latter then he'd be able to move the date, but we don't know for sure.

At best, it doesn't look good for him to tell the judge he needs a continuance because he can't reschedule his May 5 fight, be granted that continuance then reschedule his May 5 fight.

what u say is true about the dates. the questions that would need answering is is there an issue with this from the courts since that is what he was grated the stay for? the other question would be is whether mgm grand has anything planned for those dates. but the most important question as u eluded to is why the hell should it matter? why not may 5th? is it the cut? what is it?

All I heard is that it was on hold. I don't see how can their be a contract signed if there is no opponent mention. I never heard anything like that before.

Again not sure what will happen with the court so taking that out of the equation(which you really can't BTW). But, I think if he wants to move the date he can and will.

But, all that is irrelevant. Cinco de Mayo weekend has a tradition of big PPV's. Also is a holiday weekend so that will also bring even more people in.

There's nothing really wrong with the date. Pac should just fight on the date. It's already set, it's already held and ready to go. Just fight.

No problem with 50/50. But be sure if it was Mayweather saying he was gonna take a smaller share, for days... then when backed in to a corner jumped back to 50/50 he would be called out on it. Would not be called a bend.

I imagine if he retracts his statement about the purse split he can also retract his statement about the drug testing. Manny says things in front of the media he does not really mean it seems. Makes you wonder why he wants to become a politician?

youre guessing....the only logical reason why the judge postponed it is becuase floyd can generate big $$$ for vegas.....theres nothing that prevents him from fighting antime in may, nothing....you saying may 5th is fixed is a wild ****ing guess ...

Arum is simply doing exactly what Floyd is doing. Neither fighter is gonna go along with the other's terms. Unless they actually negotiate a fight and decide all the details like that, its just not happening.

True but why push a unesassary date? Arum was already exposed by first saying pacquiao will fight May 5th then changing it to a later date when Mayweather's sentence got delayed. He is obviously lying and playing games. Mayweather already went ahead and booked a reasonable date that Pacquiao can make so theres no reason to keep changing dates.

Last week of May is a descent date... As long as the fight will happen in May, I dont care if its May 5 or May 30, just make it happen...
