We are talking about who is the most well rounded fighter in history right? Not who is the most well rounded fighter at 130lbs for the first part of their career.

saddler was a dirty son of a gun. one of the dirtiest ever. if he missed you with the uppercut you could count on the elbow

floyd would have a hard time keeping his composure under that. i'm not saying he's soft, it's just nothing he's used to.

and floyd at 130, like saddler at 126 and 130, was a monster
he could flat out **** and he was big, and he made the weight healthy without draining himself
Bare in mind, though, that at 130 Floyd's resume was a Who's who of who gives a ****?". His biggest names there were a washed-up Genero Hernandez and a Diego Corrales who was never any where near as great as his posthumous accolades make him out to be.

margarito's wins with capetillo are all in question
certainly his cotto win, which is the win that elevated the margarito win to such high status in shane's career

we can easily see through that win now
        we have hindsight

margarito is not the puncher he was
shane has looked awful after the fight
and he looked awful against mayorga

the only thing that makes that a remarkable win in my eyes is that shane was able to walk him to the ropes
and of course knock the snot out of him, put him on his ass, and stop him
Hell, Mosley had slipped noticeably BEFORE the Margarito fight.

not to mention saddler would have eaten up floyd's philly shell defense lying along the ropes routine. That would be a death sentence against saddler.

Pep kept Saddler off of him a number of times and Floyd has much more strength and pop at 130 than Pep ever had at 126. Bank on that.

And as we've already established Pep generates a lot more offense than Mayweather does.

Yeah, losing that close fight with Cotto and going 6 fights unbeaten before that, he looked awful

he is one of the better defensive fighters but he is not one the most well rounded fighter of the last 20 years much less all time. If he was he wouldn't have been soo careful picking opposition his whole career.

agreed on saddlers resume. it's by far the best at "130"

he hovered at or around the weight for most of his career, whereas floyd was there when he was a very young man

he also had his toughest fight at 134, according to floyd
