It's only fair to consider how they looked at their best. If you think Saddler's attributes would have carried him up succesfully the way Floyd's skillset has, then that's on you.

Floyd just knocked Ortiz out. The guy has some pop in his punches. He buckled Oscars legs a few times a well. 2 large men. Hell what is this is 4th, 5th weight class. He has enough pop to gain respect from guys that can crack like Mosley, Ortiz, etc.

floyd's flaws:
he's a modest puncher
he's not very agressive
he's got a low work rate in terms of the punches he throws (he makes up for it with the moves he uses defensively, but he's not a high volume puncher and that is a weakness,)
his chin is no better than good
and physically his strength is only about average.

His heart and will to win completes the package AND His pride ...when he fought Mosley he showed heart, but his corner told him to go back to boxing and he was like, "*** it...Im not boxing anything"...His pride makes him go over and beyond like he did in that fight, also the way he gets angry...true fighters get angry in the ring and make u pay...Ortiz headbutted Floyd, and all of a sudden it brought MORE out of Floyd...more power, and he wanted to get revenge knocking him out with one punch...Marques landed one clean shot on Floyd, and he got mad and knocked him down with the same hook he landed the whole fight, yet never had the power to hurt him until then...and we all saw him get mad with mosley...THIS is what completes a fighter...those insecurities that make them go beyond to prove a point, and I actually think when he gets out of jail he will be raging...and someone will have to get the buisness
