The only reason why people hate on the past is because it's in the past. meanwhile everything now was built upon it. most of the champions you see now would be contenders back in the day fa show!
They don't want to hear that.

6'6 guys back in Joe's day COULD GET OFF THE CANVAS AND CONTINUE FIGHTING..

6'6 fighters today....Once they are down THEY STAY DOWN..

actually, i see more hate on the present than the past. . . more people live off past nostalgic matches, and always say "imagine if "X present fighter" tried to fight "X past fighter", they would be destroyed"!

im just basing my opinion on the styles and skill-sets of both fighters. . . i think louis's style would play right into vitali's hands, literally. . .

Joe Louis: 4-0 with a 100% KO ratio against 250+ lb. opponents

Vitali Klitschko: 0-1 against blown up middleweights (quit on his stool like a beyotch after getting outboxed and humiliated)

Vitali would be turned into a big azz punching bag by Louis, like Louis did with every other 250+ lb'er he faced.
Not a single stylistic similarity between Carnera and Klitschko. Carnera was completely orthodox and Klitschko, is, of course, Klitschko, the exact opposite.

          EXACTLY

          Don't forget Buddy Baer..

Vitali got walked down and forced to quit by CHRIS BYRD..!!

If Byrd made him QUIT...Joe Louis would make him SHI.T..

              Unlike the Klitschkos..

Carnera threw more punches..was faster...moved better..and could get off the canvas and continue fighting.

He would have killed Chris Byrd and Ross Purity..

Carnera was considered a bum in his era...Today he'd be the long term champion.

Vitali would have been laughed out of boxing in Carnera's day.

This is 6 foot 8 Vitali here, not FMJ......
I thought we were talking about a prime Vitali? On the other hand, even a 40 y.o. Vitali dominates every second against a 34 year old Tomasz Adamek, who definitely is no tomato can and just as tall as Joe Louis.

Vitali obviously can't win purely based on size.

He was walked down and forced to quit by the dreaded Chris Byrd..

Chris Byrd is the same size as Joe Louis and he made a PRIME Vitali quit on his stool.

Vitali would make Louis look like one of the "bum of the month" that made up most of Louis' career.
