I wasnt looking at it from my point of view. I just think fighter to fight or b-ball player to b-ball player they would take offense. Marquez nor Kobe would say thank you to being a poor man's anything. Anyone who puts in the sweat for success should take offense.Comment

This is the only reason that Pacquiao-Mayweather still has me slightly interested. Marquez gives Pacquiao fits because every time Pacquiao flurries Marquez is willing to go in to the trenches with him to get his counter punches in, whereas Mayweather will more than likely wait for Pacquiao to finish punching before he throws back. With that in mind could Pacquiao conceivably outwork Mayweather? Doubtful but there's still a bit of intrigue there.Different styles of counter punching. JMM can multitask better than floyd. Floyd is best at waiting to counter, but if you study his career, watch his early bouts when he use to sit down and go to war with opponents (people think he was always a pot shotter) you'd realize he got hit a LOT during exchanges.
JMM is a better counter puncher when engaging than floyd is. Floyds biggest gift in this discussion is his defense, THAT is hitting and not being hit. COUNTERING is making your opponent pay for missing, or putting punches out there.
JMM isn't near as patient or defensiveComment

When did I say that?!?!?!?The comparison wasn't between football and boxing, it was a comparison between the intelligent guy vs. the athletic guy.
Your stance is that Mayweather was born with his success. He didn't put in the work to become greater than the field nor was he smart enough to get there without it. But somehow, the giftless Marquez with no natural ability is more impressive.
Seriously man, if you aren't going to listen and aren't going to talk intelligently then don't waste my time.
I never said Floyd isn't smart, he's very smart but just because I think JMM is smarter, how is that an insult to Floyd? hahahaha
Holy ****, I'm like a parrot repeating myself here and we are arguing in circles.
Why can't a fighter be BOTH naturally gifted AND intelligent? So because I think JMM is more intelligent now Floyd is ******?
My ***in head hurts from repeating myself.Comment

I dont see how probably the only guy in boxing to be able to pull of the pullcounter as not being a counterpuncher.......Comment

Nah, the point that was being made was that you seem to put a greater emphasis on natural physical gifts...i.e speed, reflexes.....as opposed to ring smartsWhen did I say that?!?!?!?

You claimed that JMM was more impressive becuase he doesnt have the physical gifts, but then went on to claim he is the smartest boxer of his generation..........surely that intelligence has helped him just as much as Floyds athletic ability
I used the football analogy because the one quailty that most people say that sets Peyton Manning apart from most QB's is his superior intelligence, not his athletic ability.....Comment
