First off I never said I wasn't impressed with Floyds counter punching, I just said I was MORE impressed with JMM's.

You people like to argue in extremes I see, there is a middle ground or you can like BOTH fighters....

Yes, that's a good point that JMM's intelligence has helped him as Floyds natural ability. I will ask you this though, do you think it's easier to be born with natural physical ability and apply it or intelligence and apply that?

For the billionth time, I never said JMM was better than Floyd. Floyd is the best fighter I have seen in my lifetime (I can repeat it 1000 times if it makes you floyd fans feel better about yourselves)

I never said that you said he was better. And if you did, that's your opinion. Please believe I don't need or want anyone to say something good about Floyd to appease me.

I'm just making the point that JMM has climbed a much steeper hill to get to where he is because he DOESN'T have the natural ability Floyd has.

Uh...ok. But Floyd climbed a hill to. With all of the "natural abilities" that he had, he still had to pay the price to be as good as he is. But what fighter (or athlete) didn't?

A fighter like Floyd comes once in a generation if we are lucky. A fighter like JMm comes the same way but it's more impressive IMO because he's done it despite his lack of physical ability.

Yes......because guys like Peyton Manning have become successfull and are heralded for their intelligence......but when someone who has extreme physicla gifts does well in sports, its always passed off as "oh, they havent had to work as hard, they were born with it".....I believe that we are all born with a certain level of physicality and intelligence.

As you said, there can be a middle ground and JMM isnt as slow as Margarito so he has enough physical tools to compute what his brain is telling him to do in the ring.......

i also thought being bigger meant having a bigger target but oh well...
