I would pick today's Vitali over any LL there ever was or could be. He's that damn good at 40 in my opinion.

His KO% is still much better than Lewis' even in his prime.

You forget that Lennox has an 84 reach. On a bad day Lennox is going to connect at 46% because he just has superior range.

That's actually an argument for Vitali rather than against him since he landed alot more punches than Lennox even with a shorter reach.

Lennox does NOT have to give his best effort to beat Vitali.

Huh? Both of Vitali's losses came on injuries when he was winning the fights comfortably. I am glad you mentioned the 'unavenged' thing because that makes one wonder why Lennox chose to walk out on a career high payday and duck a rematch to avoid giving Vitali the chance to get that vengence. The Byrd fight was avenged by Wlad while Vitali healed and it was obvious Byrd couldn't beat Vit in a million years barring injury. So that rematch was pointless. At least Rahman and McCall had the balls to fight Lewis again.


I covered the Byrd thing above. No rematch needed. Anyone with brains knows that. And wasn't Solis, who was supposed to be some great up and coming fighter supposed to be the guy to have a shot @ Vitali?
